Description

Method and equipment for sending and receiving measurement report
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for sending and receiving a measurement report.
Background
Currently, a terminal device needs to measure a reference signal to determine cell quality or beam quality, and the terminal device may measure and obtain measured values of different parameters, such as Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ), signal to interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR), and the like, and then send the measured results to a network device.
In actual network operation, when the terminal device reports the measurement result of the reference signal to the network device, the measurement result of the reference signal may be sequenced instead of reporting a specific measurement value, and the measurement of the reference signal may also be understood as the measurement of the beam, so that the obtained sequencing result may be the sequencing result of the beam, and the final reporting is only the sequencing result, and the sequencing result only indicates the magnitude sequence of the value of each beam for a certain measurement reported quantity. However, at present, the network device may not configure the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter for the terminal device, that is, may not indicate whether the terminal device reports the RSRP or RSRQ of the reference signal. Then the terminal device may not be able to determine which reference signal measurement report to order the measurements, or beams, at all. Or the terminal device may rank the beams according to a reference signal measurement reported quantity parameter, for example, rank the beams according to RSRP values, and the network device may not be consistent with the terminal device understanding, for example, the network device may understand that the ranking result is ranked according to RSRQ values, so that the network device may not obtain a correct measurement result of the terminal device.
Disclosure of Invention
The embodiment of the application provides a method and equipment for sending and receiving a measurement report, which are used for enabling network equipment to obtain a correct measurement result of terminal equipment.
In a first aspect, a first method for sending a measurement report is provided, the method including: receiving measurement configuration information from a network device, wherein the measurement configuration information includes periodic measurement configuration information but does not include a reference signal measurement reporting quantity parameter corresponding to a first radio access technology, or includes a reference signal measurement reporting quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology, which indicates that no reporting is performed, and the reference signal measurement reporting quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology is used for sending a measurement report to the network device; obtaining a measurement result of a reference signal of at least one cell under the first radio access technology, and sequencing the measurement result according to a sequencing quantity parameter to obtain a sequencing result; sending a measurement report to the network device, the measurement report including the ranking result.
The method may be performed by a first communication device, for example a terminal equipment or a communication device capable of supporting the terminal equipment to implement the functions required by the method, or for example a chip capable of being provided in the terminal equipment.
In this embodiment of the present application, if the measurement configuration information sent by the network device does not include the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology, or the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology included in the measurement configuration information indicates that no report is reported, the measurement results may be sorted according to the determined sorting quantity parameter, which may be understood as that the sorting quantity parameter may be known by both the terminal device and the network device, so that the network device may determine which sorting quantity parameter or parameters the sorting quantity parameters are targeted by the sorting results sent by the terminal device, so that the network device may obtain the correct measurement result of the terminal device, and may perform relatively reasonable scheduling on the terminal device according to the measurement result.
With reference to the first aspect, in a possible implementation manner of the first aspect, the sorting quantity parameter is a pre-configured or predefined sorting quantity parameter, or a sorting quantity parameter determined for the terminal device.
The parameter of the ranking amount may be a preconfigured parameter, for example, a parameter preconfigured by the network device or other devices (e.g., core network devices) to the terminal device, or may be a predefined parameter, for example, a parameter predefined by a protocol, so that both the network device and the terminal device can know the parameter of the ranking amount in advance, and thus the network device can specify which ranking amount parameter the ranking result sent by the terminal device is directed to, so that the network device can obtain a correct measurement result. Or, the sorting quantity parameter may also be a sorting quantity parameter determined by the terminal device itself, for example, the terminal device may determine one or more of the plurality of parameters as the sorting quantity parameter, for example, the sorting quantity parameter may be determined according to a measurement condition, which is more flexible.
With reference to the first aspect, in a possible implementation manner of the first aspect, the ranking quantity parameter is a ranking quantity parameter determined by the terminal device, and the measurement report further carries indication information, where the indication information is used to indicate the ranking quantity parameter corresponding to the ranking result.
If the sorting quantity parameter is the sorting quantity parameter determined by the terminal device, the network device may not know which sorting quantity parameter is determined by the terminal device, and therefore, the measurement report may further carry indication information for indicating the sorting quantity parameter corresponding to the sorting result, or for indicating the sorting quantity parameter determined by the terminal device, so that the network device may obtain a correct measurement result. Alternatively, even if the parameter of the rank metric is not a parameter determined by the terminal device itself, but a pre-configured or predefined parameter, the measurement report may carry indication information for indicating the parameter of the rank metric, so that the indication may be more explicit.
With reference to the first aspect, in a possible implementation manner of the first aspect, the obtaining a measurement result of a reference signal of at least one cell in the first radio access technology, and ranking the measurement result according to a ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result includes: measuring a reference signal of at least one cell under the first radio access technology to obtain a measurement result of the reference signal of the at least one cell; and/or ranking the measurement results of the reference signals of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result of the beams included by the at least one cell.
The measurement of the reference signal may also be regarded as the measurement of the beam, and then the measurement result of the reference signal may also be understood as the measurement result of the beam. The measurement result of a cell may be obtained according to the measurement results of beams, for example, the measurement results of all beams in a cell may be considered together to obtain the measurement result of the cell. Specifically, the ranking result may include a ranking result of at least one cell, or a ranking result of beams included in at least one cell, or a ranking result of at least one cell and a ranking result of beams included in at least one cell. The specific sorting result includes what contents, which may be indicated by the network device in advance, or determined by the terminal device itself, or specified by a protocol, and is not limited specifically.
With reference to the first aspect, in a possible implementation manner of the first aspect, the sorting quantity parameter includes at least one of: RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, or RSSI.
The sort quantity parameter may include at least one of the above, for example, RSRP and RSRQ, SINR and RSRQ, RSRP, RSRQ, and SINR, etc., which are not limited in particular.
With reference to the first aspect, in a possible implementation manner of the first aspect, the method further includes: and determining to report the sequencing result only to the network equipment and not to report a measurement value obtained by measuring the reference signal of the cell under the first radio access technology according to the fact that the measurement configuration information does not contain the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology or the measurement configuration information contains the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology and indicates that the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter does not report.
Currently, the network device needs to add a special indication in the measurement configuration information, which is used to indicate that only the ranking result is reported to the network device, and no specific measurement value is reported. In this embodiment of the present application, an implicit indication manner is adopted, and if it is determined that no reference signal measurement reporting amount parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology is included in the measurement configuration information or that none of the reference signal measurement reporting amount parameters corresponding to the first radio access technology included in the measurement configuration information indicates reporting, it may be determined that only the ranking result is reported to the network device, and a measurement value obtained by measuring a reference signal of a cell in the first radio access technology is not reported, and a display indication manner is replaced by the implicit indication manner, which is beneficial to saving transmission resources.
In a second aspect, a second method of sending a measurement report is provided, the method comprising: receiving measurement configuration information from a network device, wherein the measurement configuration information indicates a measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to a second radio access technology, and the measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology is used for triggering the sending of a measurement report to the network device; triggering a measurement report of a measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology; determining a ranking quantity parameter under a first radio access technology; obtaining a measurement result of at least one cell under the first radio access technology, and sequencing the measurement result according to the sequencing quantity parameter to obtain a sequencing result; sending a measurement report to the network device, the measurement report including the ranking result.
The method may be performed by a second communication device, for example a terminal device or a communication device capable of supporting a terminal device to implement the functions required by the method, or for example a chip capable of being provided in a terminal device.
At present, after being triggered by a type a event, a terminal device may report a measurement result to an NR cell in addition to an LTE cell. Then, when the LTE base station triggers the class a event, the LTE base station may indicate a specific measurement trigger parameter to the terminal device, that is, the terminal device is triggered by the measurement trigger parameter, so that the terminal device may use the measurement trigger parameter as a ranking quantity parameter when reporting the measurement result of the LTE cell, and rank the measurement result according to the ranking quantity parameter. The terminal device also needs to report the measurement result of the NR cell, and the current network device does not indicate the parameter of the rank quantity of the measurement result corresponding to the NR cell. In view of this, in the embodiment of the present application, the terminal device may rank the measurement result of the at least one cell in the first radio access technology according to the determined ranking quantity parameter, and it may be understood that the ranking quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology is known by both the terminal device and the network device, so that the network device may determine the ranking quantity parameter corresponding to the measurement result sent by the terminal device, so that the network device may obtain a correct measurement result, and thus may schedule the terminal device more reasonably according to the measurement result. For example, if the first radio access technology is NR, after being triggered by the class a event, the terminal device may report the measurement result to the NR cell in addition to reporting the measurement result to the LTE cell, and the parameter of the rank quantity of the measurement result corresponding to the NR cell may be determined consistently by both the terminal device and the network device.
With reference to the second aspect, in a possible implementation manner of the second aspect, the determining a ranking amount parameter under the first radio access technology includes: determining the measurement trigger quantity parameter of the first radio access technology which is the same as the type of the measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology as the sequencing quantity parameter; or, determining the pre-configured or pre-defined sorting quantity parameter; or the sorting quantity parameter determined by the terminal equipment.
The ranking amount parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology may be determined according to a measurement trigger amount parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology included in the measurement configuration information, for example, the measurement trigger amount parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology included in the measurement configuration information is RSRP, and then the ranking amount parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology may also be RSRP. The method for determining the sequencing quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology is simple, and the measurement result of the cell under the first radio access technology and the measurement result of the cell under the second radio access technology, which are sent by the terminal equipment, can be kept consistent, so that the network equipment can conveniently and uniformly process. Alternatively, the parameter of the ranking amount corresponding to the first radio access technology may also be preconfigured or predefined, for example, the network device or other devices (e.g., core network devices) are preconfigured to the terminal device, or may be predefined through a protocol, so that both the network device and the terminal device can know the parameter of the ranking amount corresponding to the first radio access technology in advance, so that the network device can specify which ranking amount parameter the measurement result under the first radio access technology sent by the terminal device is directed to, so that the network device can obtain the correct measurement result. Alternatively, the parameter of the ranking amount corresponding to the first radio access technology may also be a parameter of the ranking amount determined by the terminal device itself, for example, the terminal device may determine one or more of the plurality of parameters as the parameter of the ranking amount corresponding to the first radio access technology, for example, the parameter may be determined according to a measurement situation, which is more flexible.
With reference to the second aspect, in a possible implementation manner of the second aspect, the measurement report further carries indication information, where the indication information is used to indicate the sorting quantity parameter corresponding to the sorting result.
In order to make the indication more explicit, the measurement report may also carry indication information, and the measurement result obtained by the network device is more accurate by explicitly indicating the parameter of the ordering quantity. In particular, if the ranking quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology is a ranking quantity parameter determined by the terminal device, the network device may not know which ranking quantity parameter determined by the terminal device is, and therefore, indication information for indicating the ranking quantity parameter corresponding to the ranking result corresponding to the first radio access technology or indicating the ranking quantity parameter determined by the terminal device may also be carried in the measurement report, so that the network device can obtain a correct measurement result.
With reference to the second aspect, in a possible implementation manner of the second aspect, the obtaining a measurement result of at least one cell in a first radio access technology, and ranking the measurement result according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result includes: measuring a reference signal of at least one cell under the first radio access technology to obtain a measurement result of the at least one cell; and/or ranking the measurement results of the reference signals of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result of the beams included by the at least one cell.

"and/or" describes the association relationship of the associated objects, meaning that there may be three relationships, e.g., a and/or B, which may mean: a exists alone, A and B exist simultaneously, and B exists alone. In addition, the character "/" generally indicates that the preceding and following related objects are in an "or" relationship, unless otherwise specified.
And, unless stated to the contrary, the embodiments of the present application refer to the ordinal numbers "first", "second", etc., for distinguishing a plurality of objects, and do not limit the sequence, timing, priority, or importance of the plurality of objects. For example, the first radio access technology and the second radio access technology are only for distinguishing different capability information, and do not indicate a difference in priority, importance, or the like between the two radio access technologies.
Having described some of the concepts related to the embodiments of the present application, the following describes features of the embodiments of the present application.
Currently in the fifth generation mobile communication technology (the 5)thgeneration, 5G) New Radio (NR), there are two types of measurement reference signals, one is a Synchronization Signal (SS), and the other is a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS). An SS is a synchronization signal for a cell, and a terminal device may determine the quality of the cell based on measurements of the synchronization signal. The CSI-RS is a reference signal configured for the terminal device, and the terminal device may also determine the quality of the cell based on measurements of the CSI-RS.
The 5G synchronization signal design also takes into account the problem of high frequency multi-beam (beam) transmission. Referring to fig. 1, the synchronization signal is transmitted with a synchronization signal burst set period (SS burst set periodicity), one synchronization signal burst set period includes a plurality of synchronization signal bursts (SS bursts), and each synchronization signal burst includes a plurality of synchronization signal blocks (SS blocks). When several beams need to be transmitted in a cell, one beam can be transmitted in each synchronization signal block, and all the beams are transmitted in a synchronization signal burst set period. Fig. 1 illustrates an example in which the length of the synchronization signal burst aggregation period is 20 ms.
The terminal device in the idle state may perform measurement based on the SS, and the terminal device in the connected state may also perform measurement based on the SS. In addition, the terminal equipment in the connected state can perform measurement based on the CSI-RS besides the SS. However, when measuring the CSI-RS, the terminal device needs to acquire cell synchronization according to the SS, otherwise, the position where the CSI-RS appears cannot be known, and measurement cannot be performed. Referring to fig. 2, the terminal device needs to measure the SS first to acquire cell synchronization, and determine the offset (offset) between the SS and the CSI-RS, so as to measure the CSI-RS.
Generally, one SS configuration or one CSI-RS configuration corresponds to one beam. After the terminal device measures the beam to obtain the measurement result, or measures the SS or CSI-RS to obtain the measurement result, the terminal device needs to report the measurement result to the network device, so that the network can know the current better beam of the terminal device, and thus schedule the terminal device to perform data transmission through the beams. Specifically, the terminal device may obtain a specific measurement value through measurement, for example, obtain a value of RSRP, a value of RSRQ, or a value of SINR, etc. In actual network operation, when a terminal device reports a measurement result to a network device, the measurement results of beams may not be reported specifically, but are sorted, and only the sorted results are reported finally, and the sorted results only indicate the magnitude order of values of each beam for a certain measurement report.
Currently, a terminal device has a periodic measurement mechanism for a beam, that is, the terminal device periodically measures the beam and reports a measurement result to a network device. For periodic measurement, the network device may configure a beam measurement report volume for the terminal device, for example, if the beam measurement report volume configured by the network device is RSRP, the terminal device sorts the measured RSRP values of the beams, or sorts the beams according to the measured RSRP values of the beams, and an obtained sorting result is actually a size relationship corresponding to the numbers of the beams. For example, the terminal device measures 3 beams to obtain 3 RSRP values, the terminal device ranks the 3 RSRP values, and determines that the RSRP of the beam 1 is greater than the RSRP of the beam 3, and the RSRP of the beam 3 is greater than the RSRP of the beam 2, so that the ranking result is 1>3>2 or {1,3,2}, and it can be seen that the ranking result includes only the number of the beam, but not the specific value of the RSRP. The terminal device may send the ranking result to the network device.
However, there is also a case where the network device may not configure the terminal device with the beam measurement report amount, i.e. it may not indicate whether the terminal device reports RSRP or RSRQ, etc. Then the terminal device cannot determine which beam measurement report to order the measurement results at all, or the terminal device may order by one beam measurement report, for example by the value of RSRP, while the network device may not be in accordance with the understanding of the terminal device, for example the network device may understand that the ordering results are ordered by the value of RSRQ, resulting in the network device not obtaining correct measurement results.
In view of this, the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present application are provided. In this embodiment of the present application, if the measurement configuration information sent by the network device does not include the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology, or the measurement configuration information includes the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology that indicates no report, the terminal device may sort the measurement results according to the determined sorting quantity parameter, which may be understood that the sorting quantity parameter is known to both the terminal device and the network device, so that the terminal device and the network device have a consistent understanding of the sorting results, and the network device can obtain a correct measurement result, thereby relatively reasonably scheduling the terminal device according to the measurement result.
The technical solution provided in the embodiment of the present application may be applied to a 5G system, or may be applied to an LTE system, or may also be applied to a next generation mobile communication system or other similar communication systems, which is not limited specifically.
A network architecture applied in the embodiment of the present application is described below, please refer to fig. 3.
Fig. 3 includes a network device and a terminal device, and the terminal device is connected to one network device. Of course, the number of terminal devices in fig. 3 is only an example, and in practical applications, the network device may provide services for a plurality of terminal devices.
The network device in fig. 3 is, for example, an access network device, such as a base station. The access network device corresponds to different devices in different communication systems, for example, may correspond to an eNB in a 4G system, and may correspond to an access network device in a 5G system, for example, a gNB in a 5G system.
The technical scheme provided by the embodiment of the application is described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
An embodiment of the present application provides a method for sending and receiving a measurement report, please refer to fig. 4, which is a flowchart of the method. In the following description, the method is applied to the network architecture shown in fig. 3 as an example. In addition, the method may be performed by two communication apparatuses, for example, a first communication apparatus and a second communication apparatus, where the first communication apparatus may be a network device or a communication apparatus capable of supporting the network device to implement the functions required by the method, or the first communication apparatus may be a terminal device or a communication apparatus capable of supporting the terminal device to implement the functions required by the method, and may of course be other communication apparatuses such as a system on chip. The same applies to the second communication apparatus, which may be a network device or a communication apparatus capable of supporting the network device to implement the functions required by the method, or a terminal device or a communication apparatus capable of supporting the terminal device to implement the functions required by the method, and of course, other communication apparatuses such as a system on a chip may also be used. The implementation manners of the first communication device and the second communication device are not limited, for example, the first communication device may be a network device, the second communication device is a terminal device, or both the first communication device and the second communication device are network devices, or both the first communication device and the second communication device are terminal devices, or the first communication device is a network device, and the second communication device is a communication device capable of supporting the terminal device to implement the functions required by the method, and so on. The network device is, for example, a base station.
For convenience of introduction, in the following, the method is performed by a network device and a terminal device as an example, that is, the first communication apparatus is a terminal device, and the second communication apparatus is a network device as an example. Since the method is applied to the network architecture shown in fig. 3 as an example, the network device described below may be a network device in the network architecture shown in fig. 3, and the terminal device described below may be a terminal device in the network architecture shown in fig. 3.
S41, the network device sends the measurement configuration information to the terminal device, and the terminal device receives the measurement configuration information from the network device. The measurement configuration information includes periodic measurement configuration information, but does not include a reference signal measurement reporting quantity parameter corresponding to a first radio access technology, or includes a reference signal measurement reporting quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology, which is used for sending a measurement report to the network device, indicating that the measurement reporting quantity parameter does not report;
s42, the terminal equipment obtains the measurement result of the reference signal of at least one cell under the first radio access technology, and sorts the measurement result according to the sorting quantity parameter to obtain a sorting result;
s43, the terminal device sends a measurement report to the network device, and the network device receives the measurement report from the terminal device, wherein the measurement report comprises the sequencing result;
s44, the network device obtains the ranking result included in the measurement report, and determines that the ranking result is obtained by ranking the measurement result of the reference signal of at least one cell in the first radio access technology according to the ranking quantity parameter.
The first radio access technology is for example NR or LTE or other radio access technologies are also possible.
For example, the measurement configuration information may be implemented by a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message, or may be implemented by other messages. Generally, after the terminal device successfully accesses the network device, the network device sends an RRC connection reconfiguration message to the terminal device, for example, the measurement configuration information is implemented by the RRC connection reconfiguration message, and after the terminal device successfully accesses the network device, the terminal device may periodically perform measurement and send a measurement result to the network device. In addition, if the measurement configuration information is implemented by the RRC connection reconfiguration message, the terminal device may further send an RRC connection reconfiguration complete message to the network device after receiving the RRC connection reconfiguration message, which is not shown in fig. 4 because the step is not associated with the embodiment of the present application.
In this embodiment, the measurement configuration information may include at least one of a Reference Signal (RS) type (or a beam type), a periodic reporting interval, a reporting number, or a maximum number of reported cells, for example, the RS type, the periodic reporting interval, the reporting number, and the maximum number of reported cells. Wherein the RS type refers to whether SS or CSI-RS is measured. The periodic reporting interval refers to a reporting period, for example, the periodic reporting interval is 120ms, which means that a measurement report can be reported to the network device every 120 ms. The reporting number refers to the total number of measurement reports to be reported, for example, the periodic reporting interval is 120ms, and the reporting number is 5, which means that the measurement reports can be reported once every 120ms, and 5 times are reported in total. The maximum number of reported cells refers to how many cells can be measured in total and report the measurement result.
In addition, if the measurement configuration information includes the parameter of the measurement report amount of the reference signal corresponding to the first radio access technology and the parameter of the measurement report amount of the reference signal corresponding to the first radio access technology indicates reporting, which is equivalent to that the terminal device determines the parameter of the measurement report amount of the reference signal corresponding to the first radio access technology as the parameter of the ranking amount, the terminal device measures the cell under the first radio access technology, or measures the beam included in the cell under the first radio access technology, or measures the reference signal of the cell under the first radio access technology, and after obtaining the measurement result, the measurement result needs to be ranked according to the parameter of the measurement report amount of the reference signal corresponding to the first radio access technology (at this time, the parameter of the ranking amount). For example, if the first radio access technology is NR, and the non-measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology is RSRP, it indicates that the terminal device measures a reference signal of a cell under NR, and sorts values of RSRPs of the measured cell (or beams included in the cell) under NR, or sorts the measured cell (or beams included in the cell) under NR according to the measured values of RSRPs of the measured cell (or beams included in the cell). For example, the measurement configuration information is implemented by an RRC connection reconfiguration message, the parameter of the reference signal measurement reporting amount corresponding to the first radio access technology may be included in a report quality reference index (reportyrindices) field in the RRC connection reconfiguration message, or it may also be understood that reportquantyrindices is the parameter of the reference signal measurement reporting amount.
However, in the embodiment of the present application, the measurement configuration information does not include the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology, or although the measurement configuration information includes the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology, none of the reference signal measurement report quantity parameters indicates that no report is performed. For example, the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter contained in the measurement configuration information may correspond to a corresponding value, and for example, the measurement configuration information is implemented by an RRC connection reconfiguration message, the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter may be included in a reportquantyrndexes field in the RRC connection reconfiguration message, and the value corresponding to the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter may be included in a measurement report quality (MeasReportQuantity) field in the reportquantyrndexes field in the RRC connection reconfiguration message. If the value corresponding to one reference signal measurement report parameter is "1" or "true", etc., it indicates that the terminal device is instructed to report the reference signal measurement report parameter, or indicates that the terminal device is instructed to sort according to the reference signal measurement report parameter when sorting the measurement results, and if the value corresponding to one reference signal measurement report parameter is "0" or "false", etc., it indicates that the terminal device is instructed not to report the reference signal measurement report parameter, or indicates that the terminal device is instructed not to sort according to the reference signal measurement report parameter when sorting the measurement results. Therefore, whether the measurement configuration information does not include the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology, or the measurement configuration information includes the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology, but the reference signal measurement report quantity parameters indicate that no report is reported, it indicates that the network device does not indicate that the terminal device should sort the measurement results according to which reference signal measurement report quantity parameter. In addition, in the embodiment of the present application, the two concepts of "beam measurement report parameter" and "reference signal measurement report parameter" are equivalent and can be replaced with each other, and the "reference signal measurement report parameter" is used to describe herein collectively. It is understood that the reportquantyrindices field includes a measured report parameter for a beam or a measured report parameter for a reference signal, or that the reportquantyrindices is a measured report parameter for a beam or a measured report parameter for a reference signal.
After receiving the measurement configuration information, the terminal device may measure at least one cell in the first radio access technology, or the terminal device measures beams included in each cell in the at least one cell in the first radio access technology. In this embodiment of the application, the terminal device may measure the beam by measuring the SS, or may also measure the beam by measuring the CSI-RS, or may also measure the beam by using other manners, which is not limited specifically.
The terminal device measures the reference signal of each of the at least one cell, and may obtain a measurement result of each of the reference signals of each of the at least one cell. If the network device indicates the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter in the measurement configuration information and the indicated reference signal measurement report quantity parameter indicates reporting, the terminal device may use the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter indicated in the measurement configuration information as a sorting quantity parameter, and sort the measurement results according to the sorting quantity parameter. However, in this embodiment of the present application, the network device does not indicate the reference signal measurement reporting quantity parameter in the measurement configuration information, or the network device indicates that none of the reference signal measurement reporting quantity parameters indicated in the measurement configuration information indicates reporting, so that the terminal device needs to determine the sorting quantity parameter in another manner, and sort the measurement results according to the determined sorting quantity parameter. The sorting amount parameter is simply understood to mean a parameter for sorting the measurement results based on the sorting amount parameter, and is thus named as a sorting amount parameter.
In this embodiment, the terminal device may rank the measurement result of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result of the at least one cell, and/or rank the measurement result of the reference signal of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result of a beam included in the at least one cell. That is, the terminal device may rank the measurement result of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result of the at least one cell, or the terminal device may rank the measurement result of the reference signal of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result of beams included in the at least one cell, or the terminal device may rank the measurement result of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result of the at least one cell, and rank the measurement result of the reference signal of the at least one cell to obtain a ranking result of beams included in the at least one cell. Then, for the network device, it may be determined that the ranking result includes a result obtained by ranking the measurement results of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter and/or a result obtained by ranking the measurement results of the reference signal of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter, and specifically, the determined ranking result includes a result obtained by ranking the measurement results of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter or a result obtained by ranking the measurement results of the reference signal of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter, or the determined ranking result includes a result obtained by ranking the measurement results of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter and a result obtained by ranking the measurement results of the reference signal of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter.
The specific measurement of the terminal device may be a beam included in the cell, and the measurement result of the cell may be a result obtained by comprehensively considering the measurement result of the beam included in the cell, for example, the measurement result of the cell may be a result obtained by averaging the measurement results of the beam included in the cell, or the measurement result of the cell may be a result obtained by performing other processing on the measurement result of the beam included in the cell. That is to say, the terminal device obtains the measurement result of the beam of at least one cell in the first radio access technology, and the finally obtained ranking result may include the ranking result of the cell, the ranking result of the beam, or the ranking result of the cell and the ranking result of the beam. Or it is understood that the specific measurement performed by the terminal device is the reference signal of the cell, the measurement result of the cell may be a result obtained by comprehensively considering the measurement results of the reference signals of the cell, for example, the measurement result of the cell may be a result obtained by averaging the measurement results of all the reference signals of the cell, or the measurement result of the cell may be a result obtained by performing other processing on the measurement results of the reference signals of the cell. That is to say, the terminal device obtains the measurement result of the reference signal of at least one cell in the first radio access technology, and the finally obtained ranking result may include the ranking result of the cells, the ranking result of the beams, or the ranking result of the cells and the ranking result of the beams. Whether the measurement results of the reference signals of the cell are described as being sorted or the measurement results of the beams of the cell are sorted, the sorting results of the beams are obtained.
If the terminal device ranks the measurement results of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter, in the embodiment of the present application, the obtained ranking result may be a result of ranking the numbers of the at least one cell. For example, the terminal device measures cell 1, cell 2, and cell 3, and obtains a value of RSRP of cell 1, for example, a first RSRP value, a value of RSRP of cell 2, for example, a second RSRP value, and a value of RSRP of cell 3, for example, a third RSRP value, where the second RSRP value is greater than the third RSRP value, and the third RSRP value is greater than the first RSRP value, then the ranking result may be 2>3>1 or {2,3,1}, that is, the ranking result may include the number of the cell instead of the value of the specific ranking quantity parameter. If the terminal device ranks the measurement results of the reference signal of at least one cell, the content included in the ranking result may also be the result after the number of the beam of at least one cell is ranked, which is not described in detail. In addition, the sequencing result reported by the terminal device is a result of sequencing the cell number or the beam number, so that the terminal device can additionally send a specific measured value obtained by measuring the cell or the reference signal to the network device in addition to reporting the sequencing result to the network device. For example, the terminal device measures the cell 1, the cell 2, and the cell 3, and obtains a value of RSRP of the cell 1, for example, a first RSRP value, a value of RSRP of the cell 2, for example, a second RSRP value, and a value of RSRP of the cell 3, for example, a third RSRP value, where the second RSRP value is greater than the third RSRP value, and the third RSRP value is greater than the first RSRP value, then the ranking result may be 2>3>1, and the terminal device may send the ranking result to the network device.
In this embodiment of the application, if the measurement configuration information does not include the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology, or the reference signal measurement report quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology included in the measurement configuration information indicates that no report is performed, the method is used to indicate that the terminal device does not report the measurement value obtained by measuring the reference signal of the cell under the first radio access technology, or indicate that the terminal device only reports the ranking result to the network device and does not report the measurement value obtained by measuring the reference signal of the cell under the first radio access technology, so that the terminal device may determine that only the ranking result is reported to the network device and does not report the measurement value obtained by measuring the reference signal of the cell under the first radio access technology. In other words, by means of implicit indication, the terminal device definitely only needs to report the sequencing result without reporting a specific measurement value, and does not need to carry additional indication information in the measurement configuration information, which is beneficial to saving transmission resources.
The manner in which the rank metric parameter is determined is described below.
As an embodiment of determining the sorting quantity parameter, the sorting quantity parameter may be pre-configured or predefined. For example, the rank metric parameter may be preconfigured by the network device to the terminal device, or may be predefined by the protocol, or may be preconfigured or predefined by other means. The preconfigured or predefined sorting quantity parameter may be one or more, for example, the preconfigured or predefined sorting quantity parameter may include at least one of the following: RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, or Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI).
If RSRP is selected as the ranking quantity parameter, the situation of path loss and the like can be considered, so that the reaction to the measurement result is more accurate, if RSRQ is selected as the ranking quantity parameter, the interference factor is considered, and if SINR is selected as the ranking quantity parameter, the noise is considered in addition to the interference, so that the consideration is more detailed. The embodiment of the present application is not limited to which sort quantity parameter is selected.
If the preconfigured or predefined ordering quantity parameter is one, the terminal device may order the measurement results according to the ordering quantity parameter. For example, the pre-configured or predefined ranking quantity parameter is RSRP, the terminal device may rank the measured values of RSRP.
Alternatively, if a plurality of pre-configured or predefined sorting quantity parameters are provided, the terminal device may sort the measurement results according to each sorting quantity parameter. For example, the preconfigured or predefined ranking quantity parameters are RSRP and RSRQ, the terminal device may rank the measured values of RSRP and rank the measured values of RSRQ.
As another embodiment of determining the sorting quantity parameter, the sorting quantity parameter may be determined by the terminal device itself, for example, the terminal device may select one parameter from a plurality of parameters as the sorting quantity parameter. For example, the parameter of the sorting amount selected by the terminal device may include at least one of the following: RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, or RSSI. Then, the terminal device may select one parameter as the sorting amount parameter, or may also select a plurality of parameters as the sorting amount parameter.
If the number of the sorting quantity parameters selected by the terminal device is 1, the terminal device may sort the measurement results according to the sorting quantity parameters. For example, if the sorting quantity parameter selected by the terminal device is RSRP, the terminal device may sort the measured values of RSRP.
Or, if the number of the sorting quantity parameters selected by the terminal device is greater than 1, the terminal device may sort the measurement results according to each sorting quantity parameter. For example, the terminal device may rank the measured RSRP values and rank the measured RSRQ values if the ranking quantity parameters selected by the terminal device are RSRP and RSRQ.
For how advantageous the different sorting quantity parameters can be selected, reference is made to the above description.
As mentioned above, only two ways of determining the sorting quantity parameter are listed, and the embodiment of the present application is not limited to determine the sorting quantity parameter in other ways. The terminal device and the network device may determine the ranking amount parameter in the same manner.
Wherein if the rank metric parameter is pre-configured or pre-defined, then the rank metric parameter is known to both the terminal device and the network device, the terminal device may not need to additionally indicate what rank metric parameter the network device has used at all. But may also distinguish between the cases. For example, a parameter of the ordering quantity is pre-configured or predefined, the terminal device may directly order the measurement results according to the parameter of the ordering quantity to obtain an ordering result, and the terminal device may directly send the ordering result to the network device. Or, if a plurality of sequencing quantity parameters are preconfigured or predefined, the position of the sequencing result corresponding to each of the plurality of sequencing quantity parameters in the measurement report may be determined in a preconfigured or predefined manner, for example, a field occupied by the sequencing result corresponding to each of the plurality of sequencing quantity parameters in the measurement report is determined in a preconfigured or predefined manner, that is, the sequencing result and the field in the measurement report have a corresponding relationship, the terminal device may sequence the measurement result according to each of the plurality of sequencing quantity parameters, to obtain a plurality of sequencing results corresponding to the plurality of sequencing quantity parameters, carry the plurality of sequencing results in corresponding fields in the measurement report, and send the plurality of sequencing results to the network device without additionally indicating the sequencing quantity parameter corresponding to the sequencing result, the method is simple. Or, if a plurality of sorting quantity parameters are configured or predefined in advance, the terminal device may sort the measurement results according to each sorting quantity parameter of the plurality of sorting quantity parameters, to obtain a plurality of sorting results corresponding to the plurality of sorting quantity parameters, in order to enable the network device to clarify a correspondence between the sorting results and the sorting quantity parameters, the terminal device may additionally send indication information to the network device, where the indication information is used to indicate a correspondence between the sorting results and the sorting quantity parameters, or is used to indicate the sorting quantity parameters corresponding to the sorting results, so that the network device may clarify which sorting quantity parameters the sorting results sent by the terminal device correspond to respectively. For example, the indication information may also be carried in the measurement report and sent to the network device, and does not need to be sent to the network device through a special message, which is helpful to save transmission resources.
If the sorting quantity parameter is determined by the terminal device, the network device may not know what sorting quantity parameter the sorting result sent by the terminal device is determined based on, and the terminal device may further send indication information to the network device, where the indication information is used to indicate the sorting quantity parameter corresponding to the sorting result. For example, if the terminal device determines a sorting quantity parameter, the terminal device may directly sort the measurement results according to the sorting quantity parameter to obtain a sorting result, and the terminal device may send the sorting result to the network device. Or, if the terminal device determines a plurality of sorting quantity parameters, the terminal device may sort the measurement results according to each sorting quantity parameter of the plurality of sorting quantity parameters, to obtain a plurality of sorting results corresponding to the plurality of sorting quantity parameters, and in order to enable the network device to clarify a correspondence between the sorting results and the sorting quantity parameters, the terminal device may further send indication information to the network device, where the indication information is used to indicate a correspondence between the sorting results and the sorting quantity parameters, or is used to indicate the sorting quantity parameters corresponding to the sorting results, so that the network device may clarify which sorting quantity parameters the sorting results sent by the terminal device correspond to, respectively. For example, the indication information may also be carried in the measurement report and sent to the network device, and does not need to be sent to the network device through a special message, which is helpful to save transmission resources.
In the embodiment of the application, both the terminal device and the network device can determine the sorting quantity parameter corresponding to the sorting result sent by the terminal device, ensure the report of correct beam quality or cell quality, improve the reliability of selecting beams or cells by the network device, and correspondingly improve the reliability of communication.
The embodiment shown in fig. 4 describes a scenario in which the terminal device periodically measures and reports the measurement result, and the terminal device may measure and report the measurement result when being triggered, that is, event-triggered measurement reporting, in addition to the periodic measurement and reporting. For example, when the terminal device accesses the LTE base station, the LTE side may trigger a type a event, and the terminal device is triggered to report the measurement result through the type a event. The class a event includes, for example, an A3 event, an a4 event, or an a5 event, etc. The terminal device measures other cells under a radio access technology, and reports measurement results of other cells to the current serving cell if the quality of other cells is found to be better, which is a class a event. For example, when the terminal device is in the LTE base station, the LTE base station configures a class a event to the terminal device, and sends a corresponding measurement threshold to the terminal device when the class a event is configured. The terminal equipment measures other cells of the LTE, and reports measurement results of the other cells to the current serving cell if the measurement values of the other cells are higher than the configured measurement threshold value, which is an A3 event; or if the measured value of the other cell is determined to be larger than the measured value of the current service cell, reporting the measured result of the other cell to the current base station, which is an A4 event; or, if it is determined that the measured value of the other cell is greater than the configured measurement threshold, the terminal device further determines whether the quality of the current serving cell is less than the configured threshold (for example, configured by the LTE base station when triggering the class a event), if the quality of the current serving cell is less than the configured threshold, the terminal device reports the measurement result of the other cell to the current base station, otherwise, the quality of the current serving cell is greater than or equal to the configured threshold, the terminal device also does not report the measurement result of the other cell to the current serving cell, which is the a5 event.
After being triggered by the type-A event, the terminal equipment can report the measurement result to the NR cell in addition to the LTE cell. Then, when the LTE base station triggers the class a event, the LTE base station may indicate a specific measurement trigger quantity parameter to the terminal device, that is, the terminal device is triggered by the measurement trigger quantity parameter, so that the terminal device may use the measurement trigger quantity parameter as a ranking quantity parameter when reporting the measurement result of the LTE cell, so as to rank the measurement result according to the ranking quantity parameter, and the terminal device also needs to report the measurement result of the NR cell, and how the terminal device and the network device determine the ranking quantity parameter for the NR cell is a problem that needs to be solved.
In view of this, the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present application are provided. In this embodiment of the present application, the terminal device may rank the measurement result of the at least one cell in the first radio access technology according to the determined ranking quantity parameter, and it can be understood that the ranking quantity parameter is known to both the terminal device and the network device, so that the terminal device and the network device have a consistent understanding of the ranking result, the network device can obtain a correct measurement result, and the terminal device can be reasonably scheduled according to the measurement result.
Referring to fig. 5, another method for sending and receiving a measurement report is provided in the embodiments of the present application. In the following description, the method is also applied to the network architecture shown in fig.
S51, the network device sends measurement configuration information to the terminal device, the terminal device receives the measurement configuration information from the network device, the measurement configuration information indicates a measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology, and the measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology is used for triggering the sending of a measurement report to the network device; the terminal equipment is accessed to network equipment under a second wireless access technology, namely the network equipment is network equipment under the second wireless access technology;
s52, the terminal equipment triggers the measurement report of the measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second wireless access technology;
s53, the terminal equipment determines the sorting quantity parameter under the first radio access technology;
s54, the terminal equipment obtains the measurement result of at least one cell under the first radio access technology, and sorts the measurement result according to the sorting quantity parameter to obtain a sorting result;
s55, the terminal device sends a measurement report to the network device, the network device receives the measurement report from the terminal device, and the measurement report comprises the sequencing result;
s56, the network device obtains the ranking result included in the measurement report, and determines that the ranking result is obtained by ranking the measurement result of the at least one cell in the first radio access technology according to the ranking quantity parameter.
The first radio access technology is, for example, NR, and the second radio access technology is, for example, LTE, or the first radio access technology may also be another radio access technology, and the second radio access technology may also be another radio access technology, which is not limited specifically.
For example, the measurement configuration information may be implemented by an RRC connection reconfiguration message, or may be implemented by other messages. If the measurement configuration information is implemented by the RRC connection reconfiguration message, the terminal device may further send an RRC connection reconfiguration complete message to the network device after receiving the RRC connection reconfiguration message, and since the step is not associated with the embodiment of the present application, it is not shown in fig. 5.
The terminal device triggers measurement reporting of the measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second rat, which may be understood as that the measurement configuration information includes a corresponding threshold, the terminal device may measure the current serving cell, and if it is determined that the quality of the current serving cell is less than the threshold, the terminal device triggers measurement reporting of the measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second rat, that is, the terminal device starts to measure other cells under the second rat to obtain measurement results, sorts the obtained measurement results according to the measurement trigger quantity parameter, and reports the sorted results to the network device.
In this embodiment, the measurement configuration information sent by the network device is equivalent to triggering the terminal device to perform measurement reporting, and therefore, the parameter indicated in the measurement configuration information is referred to as a measurement trigger quantity parameter. In other words, if the network device indicates the measurement trigger parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology in the measurement configuration information, the terminal device may measure the cell under the second radio access technology and rank the measurement results according to the measurement trigger parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology. However, the terminal device not only measures the cell under the second radio access technology, but also measures at least one cell under the first radio access technology, and also ranks the measurement results of at least one cell under the first radio access technology and sends the ranked results to the network device. In this embodiment of the present application, the terminal device may determine a ranking quantity parameter under the first radio access technology, so as to rank the measured measurement result of the at least one cell under the first radio access technology according to the ranking quantity parameter.
The terminal device measures at least one cell under the first radio access technology, which may also be understood as that the terminal device measures a beam included in each cell of the at least one cell under the first radio access technology. Similarly, the terminal device measures the cell in the second radio access technology, which may also be understood as that the terminal device measures a beam included in the cell in the second radio access technology, or measures a reference signal of the cell in the second radio access technology. For example, the measurement of the beam may also be understood as the measurement of the reference signal, or the measurement result of the beam may also be understood as the measurement result of the reference signal, and the sequencing is performed according to the measurement result of the reference signal, and may be understood as the sequencing of the beam according to the measurement result of the reference signal, and the obtained sequencing result of the beam may be obtained, and so on, and the description of this part may refer to the related description in the embodiment shown in fig. 4, and is not repeated. In this embodiment of the application, whether the cell under the first radio access technology is measured or the cell under the second radio access technology is measured, the terminal device may measure the beam by measuring the SS, or may measure the beam by measuring the CSI-RS, or may measure the beam by other manners, which is not limited specifically.
In this embodiment, the terminal device may rank the measurement results of the at least one cell in the first radio access technology according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result of the at least one cell, and/or rank the measurement results of the reference signal of the at least one cell in the first radio access technology according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result of beams included in the at least one cell. Then, for the network device, it may be determined that the ranking result includes a result obtained by ranking the measurement result of the at least one cell and/or the measurement result of the reference signal of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter, and specifically, determining the ranking quantity parameter includes a result obtained by ranking the measurement result of the at least one cell or the measurement result of the reference signal of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter, or determining the ranking quantity parameter includes a result obtained by ranking the measurement result of the at least one cell and the measurement result of the reference signal of the at least one cell according to the ranking quantity parameter.
In this embodiment, the obtained ranking result may be a result obtained by ranking the numbers of the at least one cell, rather than a value of the specific ranking quantity parameter. Similarly, if the terminal device ranks the measurement results of the reference signal of at least one cell, the content included in the ranking result may also be the result of ranking the numbers of the beams of at least one cell. For this part, reference may be made to the description of relevant contents in the embodiment shown in fig. 4, and details are not repeated.
The manner in which the ranking amount parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology is determined is described below.
As a first embodiment of determining the ranking amount parameter, a measurement trigger amount parameter of a first radio access technology of the same type as a measurement trigger amount parameter corresponding to a second radio access technology is determined as the ranking amount parameter. The measurement trigger parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology is carried in the measurement configuration information, for example, the measurement trigger parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology is RSRP, and then the terminal device may determine that the ranking quantity parameter for the first radio access technology is also RSRP.
If the measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology is one, the terminal device determines that the ranking quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology is also one, and the terminal device can rank the measurement results of the cell or the reference signal of the first radio access technology according to the ranking quantity parameter. For example, if the measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology is RSRP, the terminal device may determine that the ranking quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology is also RSRP, so that the measured values of RSRP may be ranked.
Or, if the measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology is multiple, the terminal device may also determine multiple ranking quantity parameters corresponding to the first radio access technology, and the terminal device may rank the measurement results of the cell or the reference signal of the first radio access technology according to each ranking quantity parameter. For example, if the measurement trigger quantity parameters corresponding to the second radio access technology are RSRP and RSRQ, the terminal device may determine that the ranking quantity parameters corresponding to the first radio access technology are RSRP and RSRQ, and the terminal device may rank the measured RSRP values of the cells or reference signals of the first radio access technology and rank the measured RSRQ values.
As a second embodiment of determining the sorting quantity parameter, the sorting quantity parameter may be pre-configured or predefined.
If the pre-configured or pre-defined ranking quantity parameter is one, the terminal device may rank the measurements of the cells or reference signals of the first radio access technology according to the ranking quantity parameter. For example, the pre-configured or predefined ranking quantity parameter is RSRP, the terminal device may rank the measured values of RSRP.
Alternatively, if the pre-configured or predefined ranking quantity parameter is multiple, the terminal device may rank the measurement results of the cells or the reference signals of the first radio access technology according to each of the ranking quantity parameters. For example, the preconfigured or predefined ranking quantity parameters are RSRP and RSRQ, the terminal device may rank the measured values of RSRP of the cells or reference signals of the first radio access technology and rank the measured values of RSRQ.
As a third implementation of determining the sorting quantity parameter, the sorting quantity parameter may be determined by the terminal device itself, for example, the terminal device may select one parameter from a plurality of parameters as the sorting quantity parameter.
If the number of the sorting quantity parameters selected by the terminal device is 1, the terminal device may sort the measurement results of the cells or the reference signals of the first radio access technology according to the sorting quantity parameters. For example, if the ranking quantity parameter selected by the terminal device is RSRP, the terminal device may rank the measured RSRP values of the cells or reference signals of the first radio access technology.
Or, if the number of the sorting quantity parameters selected by the terminal device is greater than 1, the terminal device may sort the measurement results of the cell or the reference signal of the first radio access technology according to each sorting quantity parameter. For example, the terminal device may rank the measured RSRP values of the cells or reference signals of the first radio access technology and rank the measured RSRQ values if the ranking quantity parameters selected by the terminal device are RSRP and RSRQ.
For how advantageous the selection of the different sorting quantity parameters is, reference is made to the relevant description in the embodiment shown in fig. 4.
As mentioned above, only three ways of determining the sorting quantity parameter are listed, and the embodiment of the present application is not limited to determine the sorting quantity parameter in other ways. The terminal device and the network device may determine the parameter of the rank metric corresponding to the first radio access technology in the same manner.
If the parameter of the ranking amount corresponding to the first radio access technology is pre-configured or predefined or is determined according to the parameter of the measurement trigger amount corresponding to the second radio access technology, the parameter of the ranking amount corresponding to the first radio access technology is known to the terminal device and the network device, and the terminal device may not need to indicate what parameter of the ranking amount is used by the network device. But may also distinguish between the cases. For example, a ranking quantity parameter corresponding to a first radio access technology is preconfigured or predefined, or a ranking quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology is determined according to a measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to a second radio access technology, the terminal device may directly rank the measurement results of at least one cell under the first radio access technology according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result, and the terminal device may directly send the ranking result to the network device, because only the ranking quantity parameter is preconfigured or predefined, or only the ranking quantity parameter is determined according to the measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology, so the terminal device does not need to additionally indicate which ranking quantity parameter the ranking result corresponds to. Or, if the sorting quantity parameters corresponding to the plurality of first radio access technologies are preconfigured or predefined, or the sorting quantity parameters corresponding to the plurality of first radio access technologies are determined according to the measurement trigger quantity parameter corresponding to the second radio access technology, the position of the sorting result corresponding to each sorting quantity parameter in the plurality of sorting quantity parameters in the measurement report may be determined in a preconfigured or predefined manner, for example, a field occupied by the sorting result corresponding to each sorting quantity parameter in the plurality of sorting quantity parameters in the measurement report is determined in a preconfigured or predefined manner, which is equivalent to that the sorting result and the field in the measurement report have a corresponding relationship, the terminal device may sort the measurement results of at least one cell under the first radio access technology according to each sorting quantity parameter in the plurality of sorting quantity parameters respectively, and obtaining a plurality of sequencing results corresponding to the plurality of sequencing quantity parameters, respectively carrying the plurality of sequencing results in corresponding fields in the measurement report, and sending the plurality of sequencing results to the network equipment, wherein the sequencing quantity parameters corresponding to the sequencing results do not need to be additionally indicated, and the mode is simpler. Or, if the parameters of the ordering amount corresponding to a plurality of first wireless access technologies are configured or predefined in advance, or determining the sequencing quantity parameters corresponding to the plurality of first radio access technologies according to the measurement trigger quantity parameters corresponding to the second radio access technology, the terminal device can sequence the measurement results according to each sequencing quantity parameter in the plurality of sequencing quantity parameters to obtain a plurality of sequencing results corresponding to the plurality of sequencing quantity parameters, in order to enable the network device to clarify the correspondence between the sorting result and the sorting quantity parameter, the terminal device may additionally send indication information to the network device, the indication information being used to indicate the correspondence between the sorting result and the sorting quantity parameter, or the parameter of the sorting quantity corresponding to the sorting result is indicated, so that the network device can specify which sorting quantity parameter the sorting result sent by the terminal device corresponds to respectively.
For example, the terminal device determines a ranking quantity parameter corresponding to a first radio access technology, the terminal device may directly rank the measurement result of at least one cell under the first radio access technology according to the ranking quantity parameter to obtain a ranking result, the terminal device may send the ranking result to the network device, and in addition, the terminal device may also send indication information to the network device, where the indication information may be used to indicate the ranking quantity parameter corresponding to the ranking result, so that the network device may determine the ranking quantity parameter corresponding to the ranking result. Or, if the terminal device determines a plurality of sorting quantity parameters corresponding to the first radio access technology, the terminal device may sort the measurement results according to each sorting quantity parameter of the plurality of sorting quantity parameters, to obtain a plurality of sorting results corresponding to the plurality of sorting quantity parameters, in order to enable the network device to clarify a correspondence between the sorting results and the sorting quantity parameters, the terminal device may further send indication information to the network device, where the indication information is used to indicate a correspondence between the sorting results and the sorting quantity parameters, or is used to indicate the sorting quantity parameters corresponding to the sorting results, so that the network device may clarify which sorting quantity parameters the sorting results sent by the terminal device correspond to, respectively. For example, the indication information may also be carried in the measurement report and sent to the network device, and does not need to be sent to the network device through a special message, which is helpful to save transmission resources.
In the embodiment of the present application, although the network device does not indicate the ranking quantity parameter corresponding to the first radio access technology, the terminal device may also determine the corresponding ranking quantity parameter, and the terminal device and the network device have the same understanding on the ranking quantity parameter, so that the terminal device may normally send the ranking result of the measurement result of the cell in the first radio access technology to the network device, thereby ensuring the report of the correct beam or cell quality, improving the reliability of selecting the beam or cell by the network, and correspondingly improving the reliability of communication.
