Multiple injection molding antenna and preparation process thereof
Technical Field
The invention relates to a process for mounting and injection molding a 5G antenna in electronic communication equipment, in particular to a multi-time injection molding antenna and a preparation process thereof.
Background
With the approach of the 5G era, 5G communication equipment manufacturers have an increasing demand for being able to satisfy the 5G communication antenna. Meanwhile, the aesthetic requirements of consumers on the appearance of electronic terminal products are also increasing. The antenna assembling production process which can simultaneously meet the requirements of small volume and high precision of the 5G antenna and can not influence the appearance of the terminal equipment is more and more important. In the existing 4G metal frame mobile phone, the whole metal frame can be used as a part of an antenna, and the frequency of 5G communication is high, and the wavelength is short, so that the size of a single antenna is smaller, so that the metal frame must be divided into a plurality of independent small antennas, the metal frame cannot be lowered to be used as a whole as a part of the antenna, the metal appearance limitation is broken through, and the combination of the antenna and the metal frame in appearance is a problem which needs to be solved urgently.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a multi-injection molded antenna, which is precisely combined with a metal frame by filling plastic through multi-injection molding.
The invention provides a preparation process of a multi-time injection molding antenna, which realizes the precise combination of the antenna and a metal frame through multi-time injection molding.
The technical scheme of the invention is as follows:
a multi-time injection molding antenna comprises a plurality of antenna radiating sheets, a metal outer frame and filling plastic;
the antenna radiation piece comprises an antenna radiation piece body and an antenna column which is arranged below the antenna radiation piece body and connected with the antenna radiation piece body;
a plurality of grooves are formed in the metal outer frame and used for placing the antenna radiation pieces, first through holes are formed in the bottoms of the grooves, and the free ends of the antenna columns of the antenna radiation pieces penetrate through the first through holes to be connected with the PCBA;
part of the filling plastic is filled in the groove, a first mounting position matched with the antenna radiation sheet is arranged at the filling position, and the antenna radiation sheet is arranged in the first mounting position, so that the antenna radiation sheet is fixedly arranged in the groove; part of the filled plastic is filled in the groove, and the filled plastic partially wraps the antenna radiating sheet, so that the antenna radiating sheet is isolated from the metal outer frame;
the upper surface of the antenna radiation piece body is not shielded by the filling plastic.

Preferably, the metal outer frame is of an integrally formed structure and comprises a top surface, a side surface and a bottom surface, and the groove is formed in the top surface, and/or the side surface, and/or the bottom surface of the metal outer frame.

Of course, it is not necessary for any product in which the invention is practiced to achieve all of the above-described advantages at the same time.

The invention will be further illustrated with reference to the following specific examples. It should be understood that these examples are only for illustrating the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. In practice, the invention will be understood to cover all modifications and variations of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims.
For a better illustration of the invention, the following detailed description of the invention is given in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
Example 1
A multi-time injection molding antenna is shown in figures 1 and 2, and combined with figure 4, and comprises a plurality ofantenna radiating sheets 2, a metalouter frame 1 and fillingplastic 3;
theantenna radiation piece 2 comprises an antenna radiation piece body 201 and an antenna column 202 which is arranged below the antenna radiation piece body 201 and connected with the antenna radiation piece body; one end of the antenna column 202 is connected with the antenna radiation piece body 201, and the free end is connected with the PCBA 5;
a plurality of grooves 101 are formed in the metalouter frame 1 and used for placing theantenna radiation piece 2, a first through hole 102 is formed in the bottom of each groove, and the free end of the antenna column 202 of theantenna radiation piece 2 penetrates through the first through hole 102 to be connected with the PCBA 5;
part of the fillingplastic 3 fills the groove 101, a first mounting position 301 matched with theantenna radiation sheet 2 is arranged at the filling position, theantenna radiation sheet 2 is arranged in the first mounting position 301, and the first mounting position 301 enables theantenna radiation sheet 2 to be fixedly arranged in the groove 101 and can accurately control the mounting position of theantenna radiation sheet 2; part of the filledplastic 3 is filled in the groove, so that the filled plastic partially wraps the antenna radiation sheet, and the antenna radiation sheet is isolated from the metal outer frame; the upper surface of the antenna radiation piece body is not shielded by the filling plastic.
Furthermore, the upper surface of the antenna radiation piece body and the upper surface of the filling plastic are flush with the surface of the metal outer frame.
The PCBA 5 is connected to the antenna radiator using conventional connection methods including, but not limited to, SMT, spring connection.
In this embodiment, the metalouter frame 1 is provided with a plurality of grooves 101 for placing theantenna radiation sheet 2, so that the antenna can be directly arranged on the metal outer frame, the isolation of the filled plastic avoids the interference of the metal outer frame on the antenna, and meanwhile, the first mounting position 301 arranged on the filled plastic also accurately positions the antenna; the antenna can be directly arranged on the outermost side of communication equipment (such as a mobile phone), so that the interference of the metal outer frame on the antenna is avoided, and various radio frequency indexes of the 5G antenna are achieved; breaks through the limitation of metal appearance and realizes the perfect combination of the appearance of the metal frame and the sky.
Furthermore, the metal outer frame is of an integrally formed structure and comprises a top surface, a side surface and a bottom surface, and the groove is formed in the top surface, and/or the side surface, and/or the bottom surface of the metal outer frame. Theantenna radiation piece 2 can be arranged on any part of the metal frame such as the top part and two side surfaces of the mobile phone. The number of the antenna radiation pieces is not fixed, and the antenna radiation pieces can be adjusted according to actual needs.
Furthermore, the metal outer frame is made of metal, metal alloy or a single or composite material with metal characteristics, and the antenna radiation sheet is made of metal, metal alloy or a single or composite material with metal characteristics.

The following describes a manufacturing process of the multi-shot antenna in this embodiment with reference to fig. 3 to 4.
As shown in fig. 3, the filledplastic 3 can be split into two parts, namely, partially filledplastics 311 and 312. Wherein theglue opening 313 is located on the partially filledplastic 312.
Fig. 4 illustrates the overall manufacturing process of the multiple injection molded antenna, including the following steps:
step 1: connecting the filling plastic with the metal outer frame through injection molding, wherein the filling plastic partially fills the groove of the metal outer frame; firstly, plastic 311 is filled in the injection molding filling part of themetal frame 1; the partially filledplastic 311 is provided with a limiting convex rib and a limiting hole in a forming manner, the limiting convex rib is formed to be matched with the antenna radiation sheet at the first installation position 301 for installation
Step 2: mounting the antenna radiation piece in the groove, and performing injection molding again, wherein the groove is filled with the filling plastic; the antenna radiation plate is mounted on the first mounting position 301 of the partially filledplastic 311, and then the partially filledplastic 312 is injection molded.
Theglue openings 313 can then be partially removed by machining.
The antenna and the metal frame are combined through multiple times of injection molding and positioning of the antenna.
The injection molding mentioned in this patent is an injection molding method in the prior art, and may be common plastic injection molding or nano injection molding, which is not limited herein.
Example 2
Referring to fig. 5, the present embodiment is different fromembodiment 1 in that a floatingmetal sheet 4 is further included.
A multi-time injection molding antenna comprises a plurality ofantenna radiating sheets 2, a metalouter frame 1 and fillingplastic 3;
theantenna radiation piece 2 comprises an antenna radiation piece body 201 and an antenna column 202 which is arranged below the antenna radiation piece body 201 and connected with the antenna radiation piece body; one end of the antenna column 202 is connected with the antenna radiation piece body 201, and the free end is connected with the PCBA 5;
a plurality of grooves 101 are formed in the metalouter frame 1 and used for placing theantenna radiation piece 2, a first through hole 102 is formed in the bottom of each groove, and the free end of the antenna column 202 of theantenna radiation piece 2 penetrates through the first through hole 102 to be connected with the PCBA 5;
a second throughhole 401 is formed in the floatingmetal sheet 4, and the antenna column 202 of theantenna radiation sheet 2 passes through the second throughhole 401; part of the fillingplastic 3 fills the groove 101, a third throughhole 303 matched with a free end of the antenna radiation piece is arranged at a filling position, part of the fillingplastic 3 wraps the floatingmetal piece 4 and remains the second throughhole 401, asecond installation position 302 matched with the antenna radiation piece is formed and arranged at the same time when the filling plastic wraps the floatingmetal piece 4, the antenna column of the antenna radiation piece passes through thesecond installation position 302, the second throughhole 401 and the third throughhole 303 to be connected with the PCBA 5, and the filling plastic accurately positions theantenna radiation piece 2 and the floatingmetal piece 4 through thesecond installation position 302, the second throughhole 401 and the third throughhole 303; part of the fillingplastic 3 is filled in the groove 101, so that theantenna radiation sheet 2, the floatingmetal sheet 4 and the metalouter frame 1 are isolated from each other; the upper surface of the antenna radiation piece body is not shielded by the filling plastic. The mutual isolation of theantenna radiation sheet 2, the floatingmetal sheet 4 and the metalouter frame 1 means that theantenna radiation sheet 2 is isolated from the floatingmetal sheet 4, theantenna radiation sheet 2 is isolated from the metalouter frame 1, and the floatingmetal sheet 4 is isolated from the metalouter frame 1.
Furthermore, the upper surface of the antenna radiation piece body and the upper surface of the filling plastic are flush with the surface of the metal outer frame.

step 2: installing the filling plastic 317 wrapping the floatingmetal sheet 4 in the groove in thestep 1, installing the antenna radiation sheet in the groove through thesecond installation position 302, the second throughhole 401 and the third throughhole 303, and performing injection molding again, wherein the groove is filled with the filling plastic.
The glue flap portion may then be removed by machining.
This application realizes the technology that antenna and metal frame combine through moulding plastics many times, location antenna, floating metal sheet.
The injection molding mentioned in this patent is an injection molding method in the prior art, and may be common plastic injection molding or nano injection molding, which is not limited herein.
