Field of the Invention
[001] The present invention relates to a method and system for building teams for projects and in particular to a method and system for building teams for projects from people who at least some are remote from each other and can be selected remotely.
[002] The invention has been developed primarily for use in/with a wide range of industries that undertake project work including the innovation and entrepreneur fields and will be described hereinafter with reference to this application. However, it will be appreciated that the invention is not limited to this particular field of use.
Background of the Invention
[003] A usual method and system for building teams for projects is quite often a process of defining a job definition, advertising the job with the job definition and awaiting the number of job applicants. Generally, the next process is the interview process in order to determine the suitability of each job applicant to the written job description. Only then are the shortlisted people revealed to the actual people involved in the project and a subjective opinion of the final person undertaken to fill one position in a team.
[004] The problem with such an approach is that the system is only suitable for repetitive solution to similar problems such that a project is generally defined, and an expected standard solution is adapted for this project and therefore an expected team and expected individual is identified and expected
[005] In practice the project developer is spending initial stages defining and presuming answers and solutions and then defining timelines without any use of the possible team's talent and novel or innovative approaches. It results in a plethora of requirements required by the project developer and simply seeing on a resume if the prospective team member has expertise and experience in attending to this project in this pre-defined manner. This stops any possibility of finding a team that could approach a project in a better and innovative way.
[006] It therefore appears that there is a requirement to not have a checklist mark-off matching system of a conventional employment system.
[007] It is not possible for an individual to therefore assess at each stage what is required in an innovative team. This would mean that you would need to assess a plurality of options of possible team members and in essence interview all possible combinations of teams and workshop each team to see the best project. A version of this system is used in the tendering system but in that way the teams are predefined by the different tendererers. Further the other sub-teams of the different tenderers have a pre-defined skill and generally the tenderers would only be submitting based on their expertise and experience in solving problems in theirway. Although multiple tenders give some element of possible differences it usually does not aid innovative solutions. A big disincentive of this approach providing innovative solutions is that there is no interaction of the tenderer and the party requesting tenders.
[008] It is important to also disconnect the project from the possible team member. Innovative solutions require that non-conventional solutions are applied. Therefore, a team member would not be applying for a particular job as that means predefinition of solution.
[009] It is necessary to break the linear time system of selecting a team member as persons applying at a particular response to a particular position for a particular project cannot provide an innovative team.
[0010] It is known for an employment department to remember that a level 3 boilermaker was not successful on a previous job but that a level 3 boilermaker is needed for this job to resolve the problem in the conventional way. However, such boilermaker could be an innovative person who has seen many problems and has a totally different innovative way to resolve the problem and could have raised that solution if brought in earlier at the problem solution fit stage of the project rather than the follow instruction application stage at the end of the project.
[0011] Clearly not all persons are able to fit the innovative approach, but they could be fastidious welders such as those needed on deluxe, or scientifically accurate, or expensive projects.
[0012] It therefore appears there is a requirement to have an automatic system that can be used to receive details of projects out of time order with applicants interested in being on innovative team projects and providing a match to form innovative teams.
[0013] It can be seen that known prior art method and system for building teams is totally isolated from the projects and has the problems of: a) A linear system that is protracted, restricted to conventional pre defined solutions; b) A system that is separated from the actual project requirements by a rigid definition of the suitable person; c) No active correlation of the selection process with the applicant; d) A selection process which is a prescribed process; e) No consideration of the personal or emotional suitability of applicant; f) No consideration of trainability or coachability to the project; g) No consideration of the effects of team cooperation or team balance with the rest of the team; h) No consideration of i) No means for remote access to team building selection; j) No access to team search of preferred team members.
[0014] The present invention seeks to provide a method and system for building teams for projects, which will overcome or substantially ameliorate at least one or more of the deficiencies of the prior art, or to at least provide an alternative.
[0015] It is to be understood that, if any prior art information is referred to herein, such reference does not constitute an admission that the information forms part of the common general knowledge in the art, in Australia or any other country.
Summary of the Invention
[0016] According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a computer system for processing team building for projects from two or more remote sources, the computer system comprising a memory device configured to store machine readable instructions; a processor connected to the memory device; and at least one first communication interface connected to the processor and configured to connect to a first remote source; and at least one second communication interface connected to the processor and configured to connect to a second remote source that is different from the first remote source; wherein the processor obtains the machine-readable instructions from the memory device and is configured by the machine-readable instructions to: receive, via the first communication interface, first profile data from the first profile system, the first profile data being generated by the first profile system based on a first protocol; receive, via the second communication interface, second profile data from the second remote source, the second remote source being generated by the second remote source based on a second protocol that is different from the first protocol; determine, from the first profile data and based on the first protocol, a profile identity associated with a user and first usage information associated with use of the first profile system by the user; determine, from the second profile data and based on the second protocol, the required profile identity associated with a required user and second usage information associated with automatic review of required use of the second profile system by a team; compare and match each of a plurality of first indicia associated with multiple users each having access to one of the at least one first communication interface with second indicia of multiple required users; and send the first profile identity, the first usage information and the second usage information to an output communication interface to identify the matched first indicia inclusion of the first profile identity to one or more matching second indicia teams for each user to build teams for multiple projects.
[0017] The at least one first communication interface can include a first protocol in which an indicia is associated with a first profile from a list of predetermined user profiles and a question controller automatically instigates a question output regarding the first profile and receives a response which is automatically reviewed to determine if indicia of first profile is in fact a first profile or if not matched modify the indicia to a second profile of the from the list of predetermined user profiles and the question controller automatically instigates a question output regarding the second profile and receives a response which is automatically reviewed to determine if indicia of second profile is in fact a second profile.
[0018] Preferably the first protocol operates iteratively through the list of predetermined user profiles and the question controller automatically instigates a question output regarding the second profile and receives a response which is automatically reviewed to determine if indicia of further profile is in fact the further profile.
[0019] The at least one second communication interface can include a second protocol in which a second indicia is associated with a required first profile from a list of predetermined required user profiles relative to build a team on a particular project and a question controller automatically instigates a question output regarding the required first profile and receives a response which is automatically reviewed to add to the list of the required user profiles.
[0020] Preferably the first indicia of the first protocol associated with each user is automatically compared and matched with one or more second indicia of required users, wherein multiple users and multiple required users for teams for projects can be matched contemporaneously, continuously and remotely.
[0021] Also, each of the at least first communication interface can include an emotional sensor. Preferably the emotional sensor includes a haptic indicator for a user to input emotional status in a reactive instantaneous manner. In one form the haptic indicator is a virtual wheel on a display unit associated with the first communication interface with the wheel including at least 5 emotions and the haptic display allowing immediate emotional feedback by single touch notification.
[0022] The emotional sensor status is automatically reviewed and dependent on the emotional status introduces mind setting outputs such that the user is encouraged to set aside all distractions and in particular work-related ones.
[0023] Preferably the mind setting outputs includes one or more of: a) a pause to the question output; b) some text; and c) some mixed media (video, audio)
[0024] The invention provides a method and system for building teams for projects is provided by a method and system for determining the requirements of team members on teams for projects by assessing the stages of projects and matching to the required team types.

In this way teams can be matched in parallel of projects being created.
[0030] In one form the invention uses the computer system to provide a method and system for building teams for projects comprising:
a. Access port for upload to an online computerised means adapted for following computerised instructions according to an automatic team builder for a particular project;
b. At least one communication means connectable to the access port with the at least one communication means having an input device for allowing a possible team member to access and define a team member particular input in response to each of a plurality of particular project particular questions selected from a plurality of predefined questions and provided to the least one communication means;
c. A question controller for automatically controlling the selection and sequence plurality of project particular questions selected from a plurality of predefined questions and provided to the possible team member in response to the automatic team builder and the team member particular inputs in response to each of the previously provided particular project particular questions;
d. At least one display device for allowing display of an output to each of the plurality of team members to provide a confirmed team member defined project;
e. wherein the plurality of team member particular inputs allows matching by remote interaction of possible team members to a particular project.;
wherein a method and system for building teams for projects can be substantially assembled with improving effectiveness including any one or more of the following: i. improvements in parallel assessment by multiple possible team members being assessed concurrently; ii. improvements in options of team members in system allowing remote connection; iii. improvements in time efficiency iv. improvements in reassessment in live analysis and question redirection so as to not be limited to matching one person with one type of position but fluidly assessing and matching with other team positions of this or other projects;
[0031] Further the invention provides a method of automatically building a plurality of teams from a plurality of possible team members using a computerised system including the steps of:
a) Providing an access port for upload to an online computerised means adapted for following computerised instructions according to an automatic team builder for a particular project;
b) Each possible team member separately connectable by at least one communication means connectable to the access port with the at least one communication means having an input device for allowing a possible team member to access and define a team member particular input in response to each of a plurality of particular project particular questions selected from a plurality of predefined questions and provided to the least one communication means;
c) A question controller for automatically controlling the selection and sequence plurality of project particular questions selected from a plurality of predefined questions and provided to the possible team member in response to the automatic team builder and the team member particular inputs in response to each of the previously provided particular project particular questions;
d) At least one display device for allowing display of an output to each of the plurality of team members to provide a confirmed team member defined project;
e) wherein the plurality of team member particular inputs allows matching by remote interaction of possible team members to a particular project.

c) Identifies the level of entrepreneurship and innovation preferences, intentions and capabilities within a team, business or entire organisation, even industry.
d) identifies potential detailers such as; not being coachable generally, no exposure or experience of a particular phase, not having the risk profile necessary for a particular phase e) Allows for team adjustment, bridge gaps, strengthen with knowledge, best-fit support and mentoring, additional team members, removal of team members f) Shows the level of influence, contribution need at different stages (eg/ when to rest / recover and allow others to step forward and contribute more) g) Provides a shared language that significantly improves the understanding between team members, an appreciation for their best contribution, improves communication, reduces misunderstandings, conflict

Description of Preferred Embodiments
[0036] Referring to the drawings, it should be noted in the following description that like or the same reference numerals in different embodiments denote the same or similar features.
[0037] There is a wide range of industries that undertake project work including in the innovation and entrepreneur field. Types of team members required for projects have differing required profiles, and which have greater importance in different stages of the entrepreneurial journey. Therefore there is required a method and system for building teams for projects for automatically assessing of required type of possible team member needed due to the project and stage of project and fluidly matching projects and forming teams.
[0038] Referring to Fig. 1 there is shown in general a method and system for building teams of possible team members 101, 102, 103 by use of a team builder 201 and team training 301 for adaptation for projects 401.
[0039] The system though is an automatic system that allows a plurality of separately remote possible team members 101, 102, 103 to access the system via respective connections to the access port for upload to an online computerised means. Therefore, the system can receive connections from a plurality of remotely located possible team members in order to fulfil remotely the automatic matching by remote interaction of possible team members to provide matching of a particular project from one or a plurality of projects. The matching is in regard to:
a) The suitability of the possible team members to the team;
b) The coachability of the possible team members to the team in regard to the project; and
c) The team balance provided by the possible team members to the team.
[0040] However, the suitability of team members changes according to the project and details of the status and stage of the project.
[0041] As shown in Fig. 2 the requirements of team members on teams for projects can be achieved in which the suitability of the possible team member is according to one or more of:
a) The details of the project 401;
b) The stage 402 of the project;
c) The type of the team member 403 required to fill a team for a stage 402 of a project 401;
d) The experience 404 required of team member; and
e) The fit of the required team 405.
[0042] Therefore, it can be seen in Fig. 3 that a project 401 proceeds along an entrepreneurial journey. Entrepreneurship is the creation, assessment, growth, development, and operation, of new and emerging ventures. It is the pursuit of opportunity beyond resources controlled. It is therefore necessary to develop, organize and manage business venture in competitive marketplace that is constantly evolving.
[0043] The journey of the entrepreneur is through a plurality of stages and phases. The phases can be understood to have two or more coexisting elements in a continuing time plan of project.
[0044] In general sense there is a commercial element which starts with the commercialization of a project to proceeding through formation and business validation and innovation. This progresses to growth of the project to a next level and then re growth to a greater level such as mass production or substantial market share.
[0045] In another sense as identified by the stars in Fig. 3, there is the innovation element in which initially there is the opportunity identification in which a problem is identified and an innovative solution is proposed. This proceeds onto the innovation step of validation of concept and product innovation. However, innovation must then be converted into application by development of business model of the innovation and how it is to be incorporated into the problem to be solved and how the market is approached or used to enable the project to be taken on board commercially. This further progresses in its interaction with the market as the project scales up from the proof of concept to the small-scale venture to the mature market position.
[0046] On a more detailed level with reference to Figs. 3 and 4, there is a combination of the multiple senses of the project 401 which reveals stages 402. In a first stage 421 there is Ideation in which the opportunity and the identification of an innovative solution is proposed. This leads into the evaluation of the innovative solution such that there is a problem solution fit required in the personnel. The persons involved in the first stage 421 can be entrepreneurs, innovators or inventors, who recognize and seize opportunities and desire to generate something new and to meet the challenge of an innovative solution to a problem.
[0047] The evaluation can be said to be part of the formation phase but specifically leading to the Pre-seed stage 422. To enable the evaluation there is development of the business model and a founder's commitment. Personnel required would usually have been experts that adds value through expending effort, money and skills. This is therefore the matching of personnel to the vision and the founder.
[0048] A further stage of the commercialization is the Seed stage 423 in which there is validation of product innovation by proof of commercial concept and proof of innovative concept and in essence verifying the fit between product and market. Personnel at this stage would be connectors or marketeers that can provide such fit.
[0049] In the Early Stage 424 there is business model of the innovation in order to have the business model fit the market and begin the start-up of the build of the business. This Early Stage 424 generally needs a start-up manager.
[0050] From this initialisation of commercialization there is progress to the growth phase in which there are the stages of Scale 425 to scale up from prototype or first level to small level and enter the Establish Stage 426. This will require the further growth in the Expansion Stage 427. To proceed through these stages needs the fit of investor, collaborator to the venture. Further there is the fit of the innovation, organization to the market. Personnel in these stages are able to engage and realise rewards from efforts and assume the risks of the marketplace to implement the innovative ideas.
[0051] The final stage of the growth is a regrowth to a different significant level such as significant market share or mass production such that there is a Maturity stage 428 of the project and sustainability. However, most projects will then proceed to a Decline stage due to the end of the market need, or fashion or economics or different problems. This stage can be approached by a reiteration to form a new innovative solution to the new version of the problem or not approached but with planned exit. Otherwise it will be an unplanned exit.
[0052] Referring to Fig. 5 there are Types 403 of prospective team members 101, 102, 103. Many people might call themselves an entrepreneur or an expert or a startup manager. This approach can be used if you can rely on a single person to undertake a project. However generally in larger projects it is necessary to have a team to provide the requirements at particular stages 402 of the project 401. Similarly, the start-up manager is responsible for ensuring that employees remain accountable and produce high quality work. It is important for a start-up manager to be able to adapt to change and have the confidence to make decisions independently that assist the venture. Often, start-up managers seek to be around entrepreneurs to improve their own wealth.

Appreciators are important for businesses as they are unwavering supporters of the venture and enjoy helping the entrepreneurial team when needed.

Similar to other self-awareness adapt psychometrics the aim of the report is for the individual and team to appreciate their strengths, areas for improvement and provide a common language to discuss differences and make more effective decisions; avoiding common pitfalls as well as accelerating and improving entrepreneurial and business outcomes.

Statistics show that small business failure rates remain extremely high with founders losing money, time and other income opportunities while dealing with the disappointment of dreams not realised. This session is intended to encourage users to set aside all distractions, in particular work-related ones, prepare themselves to take up to an hour on the Diagnostic Tool process, and resist any urge to pause the questionnaire and come back later. The session will emphasise taking the questionnaire in one sitting. The specific content of the mind-setting session consists of some text and some mixed media (video, audio). If a user stops the questionnaire part of the way through, they'll re-encounter another, shorter mind-setting session, in order to try to achieve a distraction-free remainder of the questionnaire, without forcing the user to see the same laborious mind setting content.

Computer system for processing team building for projects from two or more remote sources, the computer system comprising: i. a memory device configured to store machine-readable instructions; ii. a processor connected to the memory device; and iii. at least one first communication interface connected to the processor and configured to connect to a first remote source; and iv. at least one second communication interface connected to the processor and configured to connect to a second remote source that is different from the first remote source; v. An access port related with the at least one first communication interface for upload to an online computerised means adapted for following computerised instructions according to an automatic team builder for a particular project; vi. At least one communication means related with the at least one first communication interface connectable to the access port with the at least one communication means having an input device for allowing a possible team member to access and define a team member particular input in response to each of a plurality of particular project particular questions selected from a plurality of predefined questions and provided to the least one communication means; vii. A question controller for automatically controlling the selection and sequence plurality of project particular questions selected from a plurality of predefined questions and provided to the possible team member in response to the automatic team builder and the team member particular inputs in response to each of the previously provided particular project particular questions; viii. At least one display device associated with the output communication interface for allowing display of an output to each of the plurality of team members to provide a confirmed team member defined project; wherein the plurality of team member particular inputs allows matching by remote interaction of possible team members to a particular project.
