During two conferences in NovemberOlaf Janssen, the Wikimedia coordinator of the National Library of the Netherlands (KB), spoke about the ongoing collaboration of the KB with the Wikimedia movement.

  • The2017 annual conference of theDutch information professionals took place on November 9th. Olaf:The KB has been collaborating with Wikipedia and its communities for over 4 years now. Inthis session (Track 4-4) I explain why the KB has chosen to do so, how we organise it, which priorities we have and which positieve impact it has for the distribution, visibility and reuse of our collections and knowledge. And most importantly, how does the Dutch population benefit from it, as 80% of them use Wikipedia.
  • On November 16th theannual networking day of the national network of WW2 source providers (Netwerk Oorlogsbronnen) took place in Amsterdam.
