I was a little worried at first about what I would get out of taking classes online, but the lectures and communication exceeded my expectations. The DEN@Viterbi system was effective and easy to use, and the flexibility worked very well for my schedule. One unexpected benefit to having access to both live and recorded lectures was that I was able to watch again at any time. I used this to study for exams and found it very helpful to hear the information again. I would definitely recommend this program to other working professionals.

I’ve already had opportunities to apply the coursework to my areas of interest. For example, in the geospatial intelligence tradecraft course, we were given a real-world assignment with the directive to create a disaster mitigation plan for Hurricane Maria. This was a very relevant assignment to the moment in time in which it was assigned, as well as aligning with my own interests, and an opportunity to apply academia to the real world.

I was surprised at how personable the online learning environment was. Prior to the program, I was worried that I would not be able to make important relationships with my peers or professors. However, I feel as though I made life-long relationships ... One of my peers even recommended me for my current teaching position.

I realized that I needed to update that traditional MBA because the solutions needed in today’s world require a fresh approach with the technical, business, and media experiences I’ve gained.

I was extremely pleased with my DEN@Viterbi experience. The online portal and material delivery methods were seamless. However, the aspect I was most pleased with was the top-notch treatment I received from all of the staff I interacted with at USC. All of the staff members went above and beyond to assist me and ensure I had the optimal experience.
