Nyemba

Nyemba is a Bantu language spoken mainly in southern Angola, and also in Namibia. In Angola it is spoken by 941,000 people, mainly in the provinces of Cunene, Cuando Cubango, and also in Bié and Huambo provinces. In Nambia there are about 9,540 speakers of Nyemba.

Nyemba is also known as Gangela, Ganguela, Ganguella, Ngangela or Nhemba. It is closely related toLuchazi, Nkangala, Mbwela and Ngonzela. Some sources classify these as dialects of one language known as Ngangela.

Nyemba is written with the Latin alphabet, and parts of the Bible have been translated into it.
