Welsh Cyrillic (Кърилиѓ Къмраеѓ)

The Welsh Cyrillic alphabet was invented by Sam Bateman in August of 2014. He wanted to make the Welsh language easier to read for speakers of Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, etc., and to diversify the language itself. It is used for writing Welsh, and was modelled on the Russian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Serbian Cyrillic, Kildin Sami and Nivkh alphabets, although several letters are pronounced differently.

Welsh Cyrillic is an alphabet with 29 letters, written from left to right, and is used for writing in Welsh.

Notes

The letter ш is not normally used, but may act as a substitute for си before a vowel, due to its identical pronunication, e.g. сипшун instead of сипсиун, both transliterations of sipsiwn ("gypsy").
If unavailable, the letters ғ and ҏ may be written as нѓ and рг, respectively. Examples: гоғиан OR гонѓиан (hongian “hanging”), ҏиносерос OR ргиносерос (rhinoseros)
The letter џ is used in English loanwards, such as ѓареџ (garej) and џели (jeli).
Cyrillic letters do not work well with combining circumflexes so macrons can be used instead.

Translation

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
