Time Square’s Pop-Tarts World Cafe Is Now Closed


We all knew this day would come, but we just didn’t expect it to be so hard to say farewell. NewYorkologyreports thatPop-Tarts World Cafe, afour and a half month pop-up from the prepackaged breakfast brand, a major Times Square curiosity, and the source of many a gimmicky food journalismstunt, closed for business on December 31, taking its Pop-Tarts sushi, make your own t-shirt station, and The Varietizer with it.
The owner of Pop-Tarts World’s building, Equity Office, is going to replace the store and its neighbor with a public plaza and a new three-story retail building that stretches to 41st Street
