Zell is asmug deer villager in theAnimal Crossing series. He first appeared inAnimal Crossing: New Leaf and has appeared in all subsequent games. His name comes fromgazelle.

InNew Horizons, Zell has the musichobby and may sing anywhere without the need of astereo.

Even though Zell is a deer, his appearance resembles a species of antelope native to India called ablackbuck from his spiral horns and black fur coloring.

Personality[edit]

Zell is a smug villager, meaning he will come off as gentlemanly and polite. Smug villagers are a more "clear" male counterpart tosnooty villagers, and are kind and lively, but can come off as conceited. If the player is female, they will occasionally flirt. Smug villagers cannot be a starter villager, and can only move in after the player becomes mayor. They wake up at 8:30 AM.
