Reason: vandalism-only account.: I saw it in the history on 4 pages, and an anonymous user 2601:644:8D7F:7490:4475:33AC:BF18:CC6D vandalized 4 pages total, changing the templates, letters, and adding links to unknown websites.Every edit made by this anonymous user is vandalism, which makes it a "vandalism only account." "2601:644:8D7F:7490:4475:33AC:BF18:CC6D" isn't an account, it's an IP address. We usually do not block permanently IP addresses because they are often dynamic (meaning that IPs are not permanent and are shared between many people over time). Each time I have undone an edit of yours, I have explained why in the edit summary. Most of the time it is because the information is not notable, is already stated in the article, or changed the wording of something for the worse. When you make edits, you need to more carefully consider whether the information you are adding really needs to be there. For example, when adding a hatnote to an article to distinguish it from another article, ask yourself if a reader could realistically search for that other subject and end up on this page.

Character etymology[edit]

Hey, I'm not sure why you keep removing my edits on characters' pages? The reasoning of "speculation" doesn't make sense to me because every piece of etymology relating to a character's name is inherently speculation, since they've never been confirmed by Nintendo, and I personally believe the ones I've added have plenty of evidence pointing toward them being accurate (especially Tiffany... I mean... come on). I find the etymology of AC characters really interesting and am just trying to help contribute to it.Toadgamer80 (talk) 20:16, April 13, 2024 (EDT)

I understand the interest in finding out the origins of villagers' names, but as an encyclopedia, our job is to document facts. Because of this, we tend to avoid speculation, even if it is noted as such in the article. While we don't have any official policy on handling villager name origins and we do have some leeway when it comes to speculating on them, we generally tend to draw the line at references to pop culture or real-world figures.~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 22:18, April 13, 2024 (EDT)

Removing my awesome proposal ideas[edit]

In each edit summary, I have explained why I have vetoed the proposal. These three proposals regarding Nookipedia's staff did not meet the criteria of being a "fully worked out idea," as stated in the proposal rules. A proposal should not only state what you want to see changed, but why you want it changed and how you would go about implementing those changes if successful. Your proposals range from being poorly justified to outright unenforceable, and I get the impression from reading them that you are making these proposals just for the sake of making proposals about the staff. Crocodile[edit]

There are times when the Japanese websites are not a reliable source for English terminology, but I wonder if maybe it could be noteworthy to keep crocodile as an alternative term for alligators. There's no policy or technical limitation against it, and if you look throughSpecial:ListUsers, there are some accounts with emojis in the username. Since it rarely happens, it hasn't been an issue so far, but I don't think having emojis in a name would be that much of an inconvenience since there are always other ways to get to a user's page or talk page than manually typing their name into the search bar.~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 15:59, May 15, 2024 (EDT)

Many of the edits made by Moses Sin were linking every word in the article that had a corresponding Wikipedia page, which is excessive and not helpful to readers. For their safety and privacy, users under the age of 13 cannot reveal any personal information that could be used to reveal their identity, including, but not limited to, age and birthday. Also, keep in mind that links are created by placing the page title inside brackets like this:[[Bob]], which producesBob. The full URL and "#REDIRECT" are not needed.
