Spring in theAnimal Crossing series is a season that starts onFebruary 25 and ends onMay 31. In thesouthern hemisphere inNew Horizons, spring starts onAugust 25 and ends onNovember 30. Signs of spring begin to show at the end ofwinter, when thetrees begin to turn green.
The setting of spring consists mainly of clear skies and slight rain showers may appear. After February 25 / August 25,grass begins to appear and trees start to go green. Snow is no more as rain takes over and becomes the dominant weather system for much of the season. However, seasonalbugs andfish related to spring do not appear untilMarch 1st /September 1st. Additionally, the grass will appear greenish-brown, similar to in Fall, until March 1. Thunderstorms can occur as early as March / September, but they are infrequent.
A special occasion occurs during the first ten days ofApril /October, where every non-fruithardwood tree leaf changes tocherry-blossom petals. Days later, the player will witness a confetti of cherry blossom petals falling from the sky. InNew Horizons, the player may catch these petals forDIY projects.
InNew Horizons, allbamboo trees will produceYoung Spring Bamboo when chopped with anaxe. These may be used forDIY projects.
