TheSnowman Series is afurniture series that first appears inDoubutsu no Mori. It consists entirely of snowman-shapedfurniture, and most of the items featuresnowman's face. The items are mainly white, and many of the items have black eyes, black dotted smiles, pointy yellow noses, and yellow buttons. Some of the items wear red-coned shaped hats, and the snowman lamp wears a red scarf. Thewallpaper is blue with white snowflakes, while theflooring is blue-gray with white dots, gray-yellow dots, and white snowflakes.
A piece of furniture from the Snowman Series can only be obtained after building a well-proportioned snowman (known as "Snowboy" inNew Leaf) fromsnowballs that are dotted around town from mid-December through to mid-February. After being built, the snowman will comment on his appearance. If the snowman is well-built, aletter will arrive containing an item of furniture and a short note of appreciation. If theplayer builds more perfect snowmen after they have received all of the items available from them, they will receive duplicates of the items already sent.
All the pieces in the Snowman Series can be sold for 8,888Bells, and they award 888 points inHRA evaluations prior toNew Leaf and 88 points inNew Leaf, referencing the fact that the number "8" is similar in shape to a snowman. It shares this trait with theIce Series, as its items sell for 8,888 Bells and award 888 points in HRA evaluations.
