Shamrock Day is an event inAnimal Crossing: New Leaf andAnimal Crossing: New Horizons that occurs onMarch 17. It occurs only in North American towns and is based on the real-life holidaySt. Patrick's Day.

InNew Leaf[edit]
During the event,Isabelle can be found in front of theTown Tree in theevent plaza next to a specially-themed photo standee, but will instead relocate in front of thetown hall if the event happens to coincide with the MarchFishing Tourney (as it does in 2018). If the player talks to Isabelle, she will inform the player about the holiday and give them ashamrock hat.
InNew Horizons[edit]
While initially absent inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, Shamrock Day was added in the1.8.0 Free Update. The event is celebrated from March 10 to 17 in three separate occasions. The first is aNook Shopping seasonal event where the player can buy ashamrock doorplate,shamrock rug, andshamrock soda. The second is anAble Sisters seasonal event where the player can purchase ashamrock hat,shamrock shoes,shamrock suit, andshamrock sunglasses. Lastly, the player can pop balloons to obtain aDIY recipe for ashamrock wand.
