Sandy is anormalostrichvillager in theAnimal Crossing series. She first appeared inDoubutsu no Mori, and after her appearance inDoubutsu no Mori e+, she remained absent from the series untilAnimal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo. Data for her exists inAnimal Crossing: Happy Home Designer but ultimately remains unused. Her name may come from the common misconception that ostriches hide their heads in the sand when frightened or it may refer to the color of her head.

InNew Horizons, Sandy has the naturehobby and may be found reading a book pertaining to an item she is studying, which can be either flowers, bugs, fish, or fossils.

Appearance[edit]

Sandy is an orange ostrich with lazy blue eyelids and a red beak. She also has white-tipped tail feathers and black wings. She has yellow feet.

Personality[edit]

Sandy is a normal villager, which means she will appear friendly and hospitable towards theplayer. She will rarely get mad, even if the player fails any tasks they had assigned to them. However, she will lash out if the player pushes her too. Similar to all normal villagers, Sandy will act motherly to the player and most other villagers, includingPeppy,jock, and other normal villagers. However, she may become offended bycranky villagers due to their belittling nature, as well assnooty villagers due to their tendency to spread rumors.
