Raddle is alazyfrog in theAnimal Crossing series. He first appeared inDoubutsu no Mori e+ as anislander, after which he remained absent from the series untilAnimal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo, where he returns as avillager. His name is likely derived from a "rattling cough," a term for violent, hard coughing, which is related to his doctor-like appearance.

InNew Horizons, Raddle has the naturehobby and may be found reading a book pertaining to an item he is studying, which can be either flowers, bugs, fish, or fossils.

Appearance[edit]

Raddle inDoubutsu no Mori e+.

Raddle is a black frog with yellow spots on his body, as well as yellow cheeks, hands and feet, possibly inspired by apoison dart frog or more likely acorroboree frog. His eyes are white dots, slanted in a concerned fashion. Instead of revealing pupils, like other beady-eyed villagers, they become pink when surprised or shocked. His mouth is covered by a surgeon mask, which twitches when he speaks.

Doubutsu no Mori e+[edit]

As a lazyislander, Raddle is stoic and philosophical, in many ways the opposite of his mainland counterparts, often talking about forgoing worldly pleasures and society. This is akin tocranky villagers, though he would not inherit the personality beyondAnimal Crossing.

New Leaf onwards[edit]

As a lazy villager, Raddle has a relaxed, laid-back lifestyle and will appear friendly toward the player. He often talks about food and is humorous or naïve during conversations. During conversations with other villagers, he generally gets along well withpeppy,smug, andcranky villagers, whilesnooty andjock villagers may not get along with him due to their conflicting lifestyles. InNew Horizons, Raddle goes to sleep at 11 PM and wakes up at 8 AM.

As an islander, Raddle'shouse inDoubutsu no Mori e+ will begin with only onefurniture item, along with theexotic wall andbamboo flooring. He will request specific items for the player to give to him, which he will place in his house.
