Plucky is achicken in theAnimal Crossing series. She first appeared inDoubutsu no Mori+ as apeppyislander, and after her appearance inDoubutsu no Mori e+, she remained absent from the series untilAnimal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo, where she returns as abig sistervillager. She is the only big sister chicken in the series. Her name may come frompluck, referring to the plucking of feathers when preparing a bird for food.

InNew Horizons, Plucky has the playhobby and can run around with her arms extended at any time, rather than only outside Resident Services during a scripted activity with a group of villagers.

Plucky is a brown chicken with a pale maroon beak. She has a sky-blue comb and wears the head of ananthurium plant on her head, which has been removed inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. She also has white eyelashes and her feet are orange striped with black.

Personality[edit]

Throughout the series, Plucky has had two different personalities. She debuted as apeppy islander inAnimal Crossing, and later became abig sister villager inAnimal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo.

Animal Crossing[edit]

From her debut inAnimal Crossing, untilDoubutsu no Mori e+, Plucky is a peppy islander. As a peppyislander, Plucky has a haughty, forceful nature prone to telling the player how to behave. In conversation, she will often digress into stories about when she was a little girl and will boast about her past athletic prowess. Her bossy personality will often result in coaching the player in how they should hold themselves, play sports, and even how they should burp. Plucky speaks using laid-back, rustic slang and will ask the player for items that remind her of when she was a little girl. This makes her similar to thebig sister villagers introduced inAnimal Crossing: New Leaf, something she would inherit in her next appearance.

Plucky reappears inAnimal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo with a big sister personality. She acts similar to asnooty villager, but she is more caring toward theplayer. She sometimes disagrees withcranky andsnooty villagers because they spread rumors and may seem offensive. However, she will usually get along withlazy,jock,peppy and other big sister villagers.
