Nintendo Today!
Nintendo Today! is a news and calendar mobile app that provides daily updates forNintendo products, including news of upcoming releases and reminders for in-game events. The app also contains non-news pages that provide information for or entertainment based on a specific game or franchise, including theAnimal Crossing series. The app's UI can be customized between various themes based on Nintendo franchises, includingAnimal Crossing. Released on March 27, 2025, it is available to download from the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android, and it requires a Nintendo Account to use.[1]
Overview[edit]
The main page of Nintendo Today! displays an image based on the franchise of the chosen app theme; this image changes each day and is animated the first time the app is opened each day. Also shown on the main page is a list of events occurring that day and links to various pages and news articles.
There is also a calendar section, which displays more details on all events occurring today or on any chosen day in the near past or future. Both real-world events such as game releases andNintendo Direct presentations, as well as in-game events such as those inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons andAnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete are listed in the calendar.
There are two widgets that can be placed on the home screen of the user's mobile device: a content feed and calendar. The widgets change based on the app's theme.
