TheMermaid Series is afurniture series that first appears inAnimal Crossing: New Leaf. It makes a reappearance inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons with the1.3.0 Free Summer Update. Thefurniture in this series consist of white, pink, and blue colors with marine designs. Each item also has a starfish or a shell on it.
InAnimal Crossing: New Leaf,Diana owns two items,Étoile owns two items,Nana owns two items,Rhonda owns two items, andChrissy owns one item from the Mermaid Series. All fivevillagers who own at least one item from the Mermaid Series are female, making it a gender-exclusive furniture series.

InAnimal Crossing: New Leaf, the Mermaid Series can be purchased atTortimer Island. Pieces of the series will show up at the island randomly and can be bought for 40medals, and they cannot be reordered through thecatalog.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons[edit]
While initially absent fromAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, the Mermaid Series was added in the1.3.0 Free Summer Update with a slightly updated look and a new method of obtaining them. Rather than trading medals, the player instead tradesscallops withPascal once per day for aDIY recipe from the series. Themermaid rug is a new addition to the Mermaid Series. Unlike most other DIY recipe furniture, none of the furniture in the Mermaid Series is customizable. There are 14 Mermaid Series items inNew Horizons, along with the matchingmermaid fence.
