"K.K. Lullaby" is aK.K. Slidersong that first appears inDoubutsu no Mori. The aircheck of this song is calm and relaxing, with amusic box playing a soft metallic melody that is intended to be soothing. At the end of the song, the last few notes play in reverse, reminiscent of a music box being rewound. This technique is identical to the one seen in the 1980 song "Isolation" by Britishpost-punk bandJoy Division.
Album cover[edit]
The album cover for "K.K. Lullaby" featuresDaisy (Pompom in thee-Reader card) rocking a baby K.K. Slider to sleep withGabi watching nearby. Pompom rocking K.K. on the e-Reader card may be a reference to the nursery rhyme series Mother Goose. On the e-Reader card, the text at the bottom reads "K.K. Lullaby" and the text above it reads "Town Tune." InNew Leaf, the text is illegible, while inNew Horizons, it now reads "K.K. Lullaby" in green letters, and the portrait of the scene is now more circularly cropped.
