Jinjitsu is an event celebrated inDoubutsu no Mori+ andNew Horizons that occurs onJanuary 7.Jinjitsu is a Japanese holiday also known fornanakusa-no-sekku, the custom of eating seven-herb porridge (nanakusa-gayu). InDoubutsu no Mori+ the holiday is calledSeven Herbs Day (ななくさのひ[nb 1],Nanakusa no hi?), whileNew Horizons refers to the event with the name of its traditional food,Nanakusa Gayu.

InDoubutsu no Mori+[edit]
InDoubutsu no Mori+, Tortimer will appear in the player's town at theshrine between 10 AM and 6 PM. When spoken to, he will give them aweed model. This event was replaced withFounder's Day in international versions ofAnimal Crossing andDoubutsu no Mori e+.
InAnimal Crossing: New Horizons[edit]
While not actually celebrated inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, since Version2.0 Jinjitsu is celebrated as aNook Shopping seasonal event fromJanuary 5th to January 7th, during whichnanakusa gayu can be ordered for
1,200Bells. The event is referred to as Nanakusa Gayu despite this actually being the name of the food traditionally prepared for the holiday.
