TheiQue Player[nb 1] is a version of theNintendo 64 released in China byiQue in 2003. The console is contained entirely within the controller and features asystem on a chip based on Nintendo 64's CPU. The iQue Player has a library of 14 Nintendo 64 games that were translated to Chinese, includingDòngwù Sēnlín, a port ofDoubutsu no Mori. In addition to being translated,Dòngwù Sēnlín features numerous localization changes.
The games on the iQue Player were exclusively distributed digitally and are stored on a removable memory card. Initially, games could only be downloaded to the system via iQue Depot retail kiosks, but in 2004, the iQue@Home service was launched to allow users to download games to the system from a personal computer via a desktop application.[1] iQue@Home was discontinued in 2016.
