Hippos are a species ofvillager in theAnimal Crossing series. They have large, round noses with protruding nostrils and two visible front teeth.
There are ten hippo villagers, of which five are male and five are female, making it an equally distributed species. Of these, two arenormal, two arepeppy, two arecranky, one islazy, one isjock, one issnooty, and one issmug.Harry was originally a jockislander before becoming a cranky villager inAnimal Crossing: City Folk. There are currently nobig sister hippos. There are also currently no lazy hippos inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons.
Clara,Lulu, andRollo, the latter being the only lazy hippo, are the only hippos that have not reappeared sinceDoubutsu no Mori e+. All of the hippos who appear inNew Horizons also appear inAnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Additionally,Rocco is the only hippo to appear in every game so far.
