Elephants are a species ofvillager in theAnimal Crossing series. They are characterized by their trunks and big floppy ears, as well as their portly bellies. Although tusks are also a defining feature of elephants, only one possesses a pair. Nearly all of the elephants are also depicted with half-smiling mouths on the left side of their faces, with the only exceptions beingAxel,Cyd,Tia, andTucker.
There are thirteen elephant villagers, one of which is anislander. Seven are female and six are male, making it a predominantly female species. Of these, four arelazy, three arenormal, two arepeppy, two aresnooty, one isjock, and one iscranky. There are currently nosmug orbig sister elephants, making it the only species in theAnimal Crossing series to have only the original six personality types.
Elina is the only elephant who has not reappeared sinceDoubutsu no Mori e+. All of the elephants who appear inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons also appear inAnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
