Donating to the museum[edit]

Like allbugs in theAnimal Crossing series, the drone beetle can be donated to themuseum by talking toBlathers, the curator. He will tell theplayer some information about it when the player donates it.

InAnimal Crossing[edit]

"They're called beetles, wot? The lugs of the insect world. Insects with armor plating on their backs, you know. Their armor, it...opens up, revealing wings, which they use to fly. It's really quite unnatural. Then, there's that thin membrane-like covering where their heads connect to their bodies. Most foul!"

InNew Horizons[edit]

"I must say, thedrone beetle is like that boorish acquaintance who is much too loud for polite company. That is, it is a large bug with a square head and is so named for the droning noise it makes when it flies. Furthermore, it has hooks on its feet that help it to cling tightly to trees. HOOK FEET... How gauche!"
