He appears inAnimal Crossing: Wild World andAnimal Crossing: City Folk, making him the only villager introduced afterDoubutsu no Mori e+ to not appear inAnimal Crossing: New Leaf or subsequent games. He also makes a minor appearance in🎬Gekijōban Doubutsu no Mori. His name may be a reference to his personality, or a pun on "chimp."

Appearance[edit]

Champ is a brown monkey very similar in appearance toPorter, a monkey that runs thetrain station in everyfirst-generationAnimal Crossing game andAnimal Crossing: New Leaf. InAnimal Crossing: Wild World (as well as the film), he lacks the point of fur on the top of his head.

Personality[edit]

As ajock villager, Champ is energetic and has an interest in physical fitness and activity. He often talks about exercise or sports and may brag about his physical fitness. While often friendly to the player, he may comment on their fitness. During conversations with other villagers, he generally gets along well withpeppy villagers due to their similar hyper personalities, while he may offendsnooty villagers by critiquing their fitness and annoycranky villagers with his hyper personality. Champ usually goes to sleep at 12:00 AM and wakes up at 6:30 AM.
