Boone is ajock gorilla villager in theAnimal Crossing series. He first appeared inAnimal Crossing: Wild World and has appeared in all subsequent games. His name and catchphrase are likely derived frombaboon, relating to his appearance.

InNew Horizons, Boone has the fitnesshobby and will wearsporty shades and lift heavydumbbells while exercising.

Boone is a gorilla with brownish-orange fur. He has a red snout, blue cheeks, and light gray lips, hands, feet, and chest. He has a dark brown vertical stripe on his head that extends from the center of his brow to the back of his neck. Whenever he becomes angry, his eyes turn white, and whenever he becomes surprised, his eyes have a sclera. He strikingly resemblesmandrills, large baboons native to Central Africa. Unlike gorillas, they are not true apes.

As ajock villager, Boone is energetic and has an interest in physical fitness and activity. He often talks about exercise or sports and may brag about his physical fitness. While often friendly to the player, he may comment on their fitness. During conversations with other villagers, he generally gets along well withpeppy villagers due to their similar hyper personalities and will also get along withsmug villagers, while he may offendsnooty villagers by critiquing their fitness and annoycranky villagers with his hyper personality. InNew Horizons, Boone goes to sleep at 12:30 AM and wakes up at 6:30 AM.
