Birds are a species in theAnimal Crossing series who appear both asvillagers and asspecial characters. The term does not refer to any bird specifically, but these birds resemble many different typicalpasserines, down to having unique tail feathers.
Twenty-two bird villagers have appeared in the series so far, of which two areislanders, along with three bird special characters. Out of the bird villagers, sixteen are male and six are female, making it a predominantly male species. Of these, seven arejock, four arecranky, three arelazy, two arenormal, two arepeppy, two aresnooty, and two aresmug. There are currently nobig sister birds.
Flash,Joe,Madam Rosa,Otis,Shoukichi, andTwirp are the only birds who have not reappeared sinceDoubutsu no Mori e+, and additionally,Medli is missing fromAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. ExcludingTulin, all of the birds who appear inNew Horizons also appear inAnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
