Anteaters are a species ofvillager in theAnimal Crossing series. They have wide bodies, prominent long noses, and small ears, in addition to fan-like tails, similar to that of theostriches. They lack mouths, and instead talk by moving the ends of their noses up and down, much likeTom Nook, theNooklings,Redd, and theAble Sisters.
There are ten anteater villagers, one of which is anislander. Seven are female and three are male, making it a predominantly female species. Of these, three arenormal, two arepeppy, two aresnooty, one isjock, one iscranky, and one issmug. There are currently nolazy orbig sister anteaters.
Lulu andNosegay are the only anteaters who have not reappeared sinceDoubutsu no Mori e+.
