Alligators are a species ofvillager in theAnimal Crossing series. They are one of five reptilian species in the games and are the only reptiles that can appear as villagers; thechameleons,lizard,turtles, andtortoise are all exclusively special characters. The alligators have large jaws and two sharp lower teeth which protrude from their mouths, but unlike their real-life counterparts, they have large heads, which are otherwise proportional to the rest of their bodies in real-life.
There are nine alligator villagers, of which six are male and three are female, making it a predominantly male species. Of these, two arelazy, two arejock, two arenormal, one iscranky, one issnooty, and one issmug.Roswell was originally a lazyislander before becoming a smug villager inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. There are currently nopeppy orbig sister alligators.
Liz is the only alligator who has not reappeared sinceDoubutsu no Mori e+. All of the alligators who appear inNew Horizons also appear inAnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Additionally, Alfonso played a major role in🎬Gekijōban Doubutsu no Mori.
