Ai (あい) is the main character in🎬Gekijōban Doubutsu no Mori, representing theplayer from theAnimal Crossing series. Voiced by Yui Horie, she moves toAnimal Village where she is put to work byTom Nook, as in the earlyAnimal Crossing games.

Ai is a human girl with high red pigtails. She has large, anime-styled eyes that each have one small black eyelash. Unlike most player appearances, which normally have a red triangle for a nose, she has a small, round nose.
Ai wears ayellow bolero at the beginning of the movie, one of several possible starting outfits for the player inAnimal Crossing: Wild World. She changes into other outfits during various points in the movie, such as ablossom shirt, a swimsuit, and a kimono designed byMargie.
Personality[edit]
Ai is a sweet and kind-hearted young girl. She is determined, searching for her "cherry pie" throughout the movie. Her best friends areMargie,Rosie, andYū. She appears to be close with her mother as well, writing letters to her about important events that have happened. She is a little skittish at times, and she is also afraid ofspiders, as shown in one scene where a spider lands on her face. She is also supportive of Margie and her dream to become a fashion designer.
