You don't. Find weapons and gear that compliment each other. Like stuff that increase attack power for melee, attack speed increase for bows and magic increase for staffs. A really good item to pair with bows is dropped by the fire spirit things, it adds tracking to your arrows.
Sadly that absolute best item "Neko Punch" which added an extra arrow, increased attack speed and was stackable is much harder to find then it use to be. That item pretty much made the game unlosable by anything except the boss and player error.
I'll focus on improving the experience for legit players. In future updates, I plan to add a feature that lets you log into your Itch or Patreon account in-game. Once you log in and verify your purchase, you'll get access to features like cloud saves and automatic updates.
Of course, it's optional. If you don't want to log in, you can just ignore it.
So if we purchase it on Itch.io we'll have access to all future versions without paying again? I have no issue paying to support, but I can't afford to do a monthly thing like Patreon. Most games like this I either play the delayed release free versions or ones that are one time pay but you get the new version slightly behind Patreon members. Is it like that?
You pirating the game doesn't need to be shared with a smiley on the creator's page. If you're broke you should understand and respect that the creator of this put in work and should be fairly compensated. If everyone had your mindset the person who made this will be poor as well and people like them won't put in effort to make games like this anymore. It's because other people pay that you even have the opportunity to pirate, so at least respect that.
