How can I get a visa?

The official website,http://ustraveldocs.com/ni/, provides information about how to apply for a visa, the steps you will need to take, the requirements, the form you will need to complete, and how to make an appointment. If you have a question about a visitor or tourist visa, you should contact the call center by calling 7877-7600 (Movistar) from Nicaragua or 703-745-5479 from the United States.  You can also send an email tosupport-nicaragua@ustraveldocs.com.

How do I get a student visa?

The United States welcomes foreign citizens who come to the United States to study.  Before applying for a visa, all student visa applicants are required to be accepted and approved by their school or program.  Once accepted, educational institutions will provide each applicant the necessary approval documentation to be submitted when applying for a student visa.

How can I find out about the status of my resident visa application?

You can find information about immigrant visas at http://ustraveldocs.com/ni/ni-iv-visaapplyinfo.asp# and athttps://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate.html.

If you have an inquiry about a pending immigrant visa case or questions about a new application for an immigrant or fiancé visa, please contact the National Visa Center at (603) 334-0700 or atNVCInquiry@state.gov .  If your case has already been transferred to the U.S. Embassy in Managua, you can contact our call center by email atsupport-nicaragua@ustraveldocs.com or by calling 7877-7600 (Movistar) from Nicaragua.  From the United States, you can contact the call center at 703-745-5479.
