York City have signed on-loan pair Chris Smith and Andre Boucaud on permanent contracts. Smith, 29, previously played for York for three years up to 2004 and has agreed an 18-month deal. Boucaud, 26, is on loan from Kettering and signed a contract until the end of the 2012/3 season with the Minstermen. York boss Gary Mills told the club website: "I am very pleased that players of their quality have committed to long-term contracts with the club." Smith, who joined Mansfield last summer before heading back to York in October, served as Mills's captain at Tamworth last season. "They are valuable additions in the squad as we go into the second half of the season. We all want this club to progress to where it belongs and we need all the players committed and focused to the cause," Mills added.
