Lewington has helped Milton Keynes into promotion contention

Milton Keynes Dons captain Dean Lewington has been named as League One's player of the month for November.

It marks an awards double for the Dons, after boss Roberto Di Matteo won the manager of the month award.

Lewington's month included his first goal of the season in their 3-1 victory at Hartlepool.

The other contenders for the award were Leicester striker Matt Fryatt, Leyton Orient goalkeeper Glenn Morris and Swindon forward Simon Cox.
