AFC Wimbledon scored either side of the break to earn a two-goal Blue Square Bet Premier play-off first-leg advantage against Fleetwood Town. Luke Moore and Kaid Mohamed hit the goals that leave the Dons favourites to progress to the final at Eastlands. The Dons took the lead against the run of play when Moore took advantage of a mix-up to find the net from 12 yards. Three minutes after the interval, Moore then advanced to the byline and crossed for Mohamed to tap in from close range. Moore could have put the tie out of sight but his 12-yard shot came back off the crossbar. Magno Vieira had a chance to pull a goal back for the Cod Army after 66 minutes, but his shot was brilliantly saved by Seb Brown. AFC Wimbledon now have a big advantage going into Wednesday night's second leg at Kingsmeadow (11 May, 1945 BST). The winners look likely to meet Luton Town, who go into Tuesday night's second leg already 3-0 up after Thursday's first leg against Wrexham.
