Meanwhile, from the first movie, Robbie Coltrane returns as the giant gamekeeper, Hagrid, Richard Harris as headmaster Albus Dumbledore and Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall.

The child stars are again Daniel Radcliffe as Harry, Emma Watson as Hermione and Rupert Grint as Ron.

The story of the first movie focused on Harry coming to terms with his magical powers.The second film concentrates more on the action at Hogwarts.

Term starts well but Harry soon begins to hear voices from within the walls and Hogwarts students are mysteriously turned to stone.

Harry and his friends then set out to discover the dark force that is terrorising the school.

American director Chris Columbus is again the film's helmsman but reportedly will not be involved in the third instalment.

He is said to have decided that two are enough, and is keen to return to the US with his family.

Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets is released in UK cinemas on 15 November.
