Sand Storm is a track originating fromBS F-Zero Grand Prix, taking place on the planetSand Ocean. The track bears some similarities with the tracks it replaces from the originalF-Zero, such asSand Ocean. Sand Storm features several notable mechanics, such asMines, smallRough patches, damaging downwardPull Magnets, and sharp right-angle turns.
InF-Zero 99, a new mechanic was added to the map, which is limited visibility due to sandy winds. After the first racer crosses to start lap two, the storm will intensify and the racers' vision will reduce significantly, similar toMist Flow. The storm ends after the top racer crosses to start lap four.
