Dai San Gen

Dai San Gen (ダイ・サン・ゲン,Dai San Gen[?]) are triplets that come from the planet Shinar, appearing inF-Zero GX andF-Zero AX. Dai is the blue one, San is the green one as well as the lone female of the triplets, and Gen is the red one. The average life of the beings on Shinar is 200 years, extremely long compared to that of earthlings. However, even after reaching adulthood, they remain quite small. They communicate by using telepathy. Dai, Sen, and Gen have incredible teamwork skills and an amazing ability to operate their machine as one. Dai takes care of handling, San handles both navigation and boosting, and Gen handles acceleration and braking. They are also skilled in gymnastics and Mahjong.
They were gifted thePink Spider by their uncle, a fan of gambling. LikeGomar & Shioh, they have been allowed to race together in one vehicle especially designed to host them. They aim to win at least three trophies, so each one of them will be able to hold one.

Name origin and trivia
- Their name comes from 大三元daisangen, which is a "yaku", inJapanese Mahjong (also referred to as "Riichi Mahjong").
- Their ship, the Pink Spider, was made by someone named "Professor Tsumo" (named ツモ リーチtsumo riichi in Japanese). "Tsumo", as well as the aforementioned "riichi", are also words used frequently in Japanese Mahjong.
- The "MJ" in their vehicle's engine name (MJ-1192x3) is possibly a reference to mahjong as well.
- The name of their planet (Shinar) in Japanese is チャイナルchainaru "Chinal/Chinar", which is possibly a reference to China. This may be because the game of Mahjong was imported to Japan from China.
