Mii Apartments is a location where the majority of gameplay occurs inTomodachi Collection andTomodachi Life.Miis live in their own apartments and will often request the player to help them or play with them. Miis interact independently, and will oftentimes hang out with other Miis in their own apartments. The player can purchase custom interiors to give to Miis that will change the appearance of a specific Mii's room. At night and sometimes throughout the day, Miis will fall asleep and dream. Players can enter and watch these dreams, and when they exit the Mii will wake up and an item related to the dream will appear next to them. When they are asleep at night, players can draw on their faces.

As more Miis are made, the apartment building will upgrade to hold more apartments until it caps at 100 Miis.

Upgrades

Mii Apartments starts with 24 apartments and has 3 upgrades. Each upgrade changes the number of available apartments and the appearance of the building.

The first upgrade expands the building to have 48 apartments once the building has 20 residents, the second grants the building 72 apartments once it reaches 45 residents, and the final upgrade expands to hold 100 apartments once the building has 70 residents.
