TheWikimedia Language Diversity Hub (LDH) is a proposed Wikimediahub for affiliates and volunteers who are working on new language versions of Wikipedia or other Wikimedia projects. These will typically include indigenous, minority, marginalized and under-resourced language communities. The hub is an extension and continuation of theWikimedia Language Diversity initiative, and is proposed as a result of the Wikimedia 2030 Movement Strategy Recommendations.

Vision & Mission

[edit]

The Vision of the Wikimedia Language Diversity Hub is to create a world where every language community can contribute and thrive within the Wikimedia ecosystem, fostering inclusivity, linguistic diversity, and equitable access to knowledge.

Our Mission aims to empower and support minority, indigenous, under-served, and under-resourced language communities by providing technical expertise, resources, and advocacy, ensuring their voices are heard and knowledge shared on their own terms for a more inclusive and multilingual Wikimedia ecosystem.
