(I am asking this question of all board candidates.)
In my essay atUser:Guy Macon/Wikipedia has Cancer I make several proposals.
Whether of not you agree with the essay as a whole, would you be willing to propose and/or support any of the following?
If we do these things now, in a few short years we could be in a position to do everything we are doing now, while living off of the endowment interest, and would have no need for further fundraising. Or we could keep fundraising, using the donations to do many new and useful things, knowing that whatever we do there is a guaranteed income stream from the endowment that will be large enough to keep the servers running indefinitely. --Guy Macon (talk)14:40, 13 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Hello! Thank you for voting for theSVG Translate project that was proposed in the 2017 Wishlist survey. TheCommunity Tech team in the Wikimedia Foundation is beginning to start their work on the project. We're currentlylooking for feedback on some open questions which will allow us to come up with preliminary designs for the tool. If you are interested in being involved, you can watch theproject page and join in the discussions onthe talk page. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and learning from your experiences. Thank you. --NKohli (WMF), Product Manager, Community Tech (talk)21:53, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Community Wishlist Survey 2019/Miscellaneous/Wikimedia Maps Improvements --naveenpf (talk)19:17, 29 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Hi,
You get this message because you’ve previously participated in the Community Wishlist Survey. I just wanted to let you know that this year’s survey is now open for proposals. You can suggest technical changes until 11 November:Community Wishlist Survey 2019.
You can vote from November 16 to November 30. To keep the number of messages at a reasonable level, I won’t send out a separate reminder to you about that. /Johan (WMF)11:24, 30 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Hi Yuri: You're right, archiving those proposals at the last second with no discussion was thoughtless. It was the very last thing I did after three full days of triaging proposals, and obviously your proposals deserved better than that. I think they are too broad for what the Community Tech team is going to be able to offer them, but we should have had a conversation about scope earlier than the last minute. The team can talk about it after the voting. I removed those comments on the proposals so they won't prejudice the voting. Sorry for the abruptness. --DannyH (WMF) (talk)15:18, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Hi Yuri, thanks for nominating yourself in the ASBS process. Could you answer the set of general questions (Affiliate-selected_Board_seats/2019/Questions) to all candidates on that page please? You are a speaker of Russian and probably know some more speakers of Russian. Can you help in getting the profiles of candidates to translated to Russian by reaching out to volunteers?Ad Huikeshoven (talk)14:29, 29 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hi Yuri, on the pageAffiliate-selected Board seats/2019/Questions are questions to all candidates. Voters would love to see you answer them all.Ad Huikeshoven (talk)19:06, 6 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hi Yurik, there is currently the proposal phase forCommunity Wishlist Survey 2021. Two years ago, you proposed toimprove graphs and so on. Because the Graph extension is rather broken currently, I would like to propose something similar this year. Yet, since you are quite interested in this topic as well, I let you create the proposal. If you prefer I create it, let me know.Pamputt (talk)10:48, 18 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

We invite all registered users to vote on the2021 Community Wishlist Survey. You can vote from now until 21 December for as many different wishes as you want.
In the Survey, wishes for new and improved tools for experienced editors are collected. After the voting, we will do our best to grant your wishes. We will start with the most popular ones.
We, theCommunity Tech, are one of theWikimedia Foundation teams. We create and improve editing and wiki moderation tools. What we work on is decided based on results of the Community Wishlist Survey. Once a year, you can submit wishes. After two weeks, you can vote on the ones that you're most interested in. Next, we choose wishes from the survey to work on. Some of the wishes may be granted by volunteer developers or other teams.
We are waiting for your votes. Thank you!
