Myanmar Wikimedia Community User Group (MMR) is a Wikimedia user group dedicated to supporting and promoting Wikimedia projects inMyanmar. Our group brings together volunteers passionate about free knowledge, with a focus on increasing Myanmar-related content across Wikimedia platforms and fostering a vibrant community of contributors.

• Promote free knowledge and open-source culture in Myanmar
• Increase the quantity and quality of Myanmar-related content on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects
• Support and empower local contributors through training, workshops, and community events
• Help minority language users in Myanmar to set up their own Wikimedia projects
• Preserve and promote Myanmar's rich cultural and linguistic heritage through digital documentation
• Collaborate with educational institutions, cultural organizations, and other partners to expand access to knowledge
• Foster inclusivity and representation of Myanmar's diverse ethnic and linguistic communities within Wikimedia projects

• Organize edit-a-thons and workshops to train new editors and improve Myanmar-related content
• Conduct outreach programs to universities, schools, and libraries to promote Wikimedia projects
• Participate in and organize local and regional Wikimedia events
• Develop resources and tools to support editing in Myanmar languages, including minority languages
• Collaborate on WikiProjects focused on Myanmar-related topics and linguistic diversity
• Provide mentorship and technical support for minority language Wikimedia initiatives
