"Raptor" class

Two distinct variations ofRaptor-class vessels exist. A thin-necked cruiser modification was in use in the2370s, with a specialized complement oflaunchers for a variety ofprojectile weapons. These included atricobalt torpedo (thetechnology of which was believed to have been stolen from theFederation) and a torpedo designed to deliver amyotronic inhibitor against another vessel (TNGvideo games:Armada,Armada II).

The cruiser modification seemed to have been used over a number of years, as well as inalternate timelines (STvideo games:Legacy,Conquest).

TheRaptor was also built in a wide-neckedheavy battle cruiser modification. This vessel was designed as abattle cruiser with long range and equipped with exploratorysensors andlaboratories. Many of these vessels were active around2378 (TNGvideo game:Starfleet Command III).

TheRaptor-class was in service by2333, when three of themengaged the rogueVulcanscience vesselSeleya, captained byT'Uerell, along theRomulan Neutral Zone before she destroyed a Romulanplanet and moved intoFederation space. (STvideo game:Legacy)
