Thot Pran in 2375

ThotPran was theBreen commander who led the forces of theBreen Confederacy under theDominion in2375, succeeding ThotGor after theSecond Battle of Chin'toka. A decade later, Pran became theDomo of the Breen Confederacy.

Biography[]

Pran was responsible for overseeing the installation ofenergy dampening weapons ontoDominion warships. (DS9episode: "Tacking Into the Wind")

After theFemale Changeling announced her plan to have Dominion and Breen forces fall back toCardassian territory, Pran was concerned they would soon surrender. (DS9episode: "The Dogs of War")

Just before theBattle of Cardassia, Pran told the Founder that he wanted theBreen warships to be the first to attack theFederation Alliance ships. The Founder, worried about the reaction of theJem'Hadar, convinced him to stand with the Jem'Hadar. Pran later leftDominion Headquarters to take command of the Dominion forces that were falling back toCardassia. (DS9episode: "What You Leave Behind")

In2384, Pran was expected, later succeeded, to replaceBrex asDomo of theBreen Confederacy. (TNG -Cold Equationsnovel:Silent Weapons,S31novel:Disavowed)

In2385, Domo Pran authorized a proposal by ThotTran to capture ajaunt ship from themirror universe to study itswormhole-propulsion technology. Pran later scuttled the wormhole research program, due in no small part that Thot Tran, the chief scientist, defected to theTzenkethi Coalition. (S31novel:Disavowed)

Alternate reality[]

In analternate reality of major interstellar conflicts, Pran was involved in numerous conflicts as the leader of a Breen fleet in2364. (STvideo game:Conquest)

TheRPGThe Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon, published byLast Unicorn Games after they had lost their Star Trek license, states that Pran was theThot from the state ofBota Rez. He rose to power through dynastic succession from his father after the "accidental" death of his two older brothers. Aggressive and ruthless, Pran kept his forces in fighting shape by resorting topiracy, often leading the raids himself.

And that Pran was one of the firstBreen to deal with theDominion forging strong business ties. His was a strong voice for an alliance. He even maneuvered into being nominated supreme commander of the military forces ortha'thot. (Last UnicornRPG:The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
