TheNimbus sector was a region ofspace, asector area inthe galaxy'sBeta Quadrant which contained theNimbusstarsystem. (STO -From the Ashesmission: "Explore the Flotilla")

While the boundaries ofStar Trek Online's Nimbus sector formerly contained thoseSTO-cited objects listed here, as of subsequent game updates the Nimbus sector has been removed and, in the game's continuity, the contents are now located in different map sectors.

History and specifics[]

The Nimbus sector was part of theTau Dewasector block. TheDewan star system was located within its borders. (STO -From the Ashesmission: "The Search for New Romulus")

200,000years ago, this area was controlled by theIconian Empire. (STO -New Romulusmission: "The Power Source")

In2409, theUnification movement worked to become anation by selecting a newhomeworld for theRomulan andReman people, with the aim to be independent from theTal Shiar-controlledRomulan Star Empire. (STO -New Romulusmission: "Welcome to New Romulus",STO -Legacy of Romulusmission: "The Search for New Romulus")

The sector was named after theNimbusstar system, the site of a failed internationalcolony onNimbus III, now controlled by the Tal Shiar, andHassan the Undying and theOrion Syndicate. (STO -Wastelandmissions: "Blind Men Tell All Tales", "Installation 18")

Background[]

• The Tau Dewa sector block, and with it the Nimbus sector, were added to STO withNew Romulus.
• All sector blocks were dissolved with theThe Iconian War update. The Nimbus sector was removed, and the Nimbus system relocated into theHobus sector.
