Biography[]

Trinh attendedHanoi National University and theUniversity of Alpha Centauri.

Trinh joinedStarfleet late in life following the death of her husbandLuke. As the highest ranking member of her department, she nonetheless found it odd ordering around her elders and colleagues.

She began a relationship withHikaru Sulu that lasted sevenmonths before she suffered a crippling accident, after which she broke it off with him. The circumstances of her accident strained Sulu's relationship withJames T. Kirk, leading to his brief transfer to theUSSCourageous.

The accident led to her eventual death about ayear later while in the care of her motherNguyen Thi Yeh. (TOSnovel:Allegiance in Exile)
