These Dominion battlecruisers were introduced during the conflict with theFederation to combatStarfleets use of efficient battle designs such as theAchilles-class warships. The Jem'Hadar battlecruiser is as heavily armed as theCardassianGalor-class and possessed better shielding thanJem'Hadar strike cruisers. These cruisers were designed to destroy any opposition that they could find but still be capable of retreating at a faster pace should it face a better armed enemy. They were also the largest Dominion ship that could be repaired outside friendly territory, allowing theJem'Hadar to take and hold positions more effectively without returning to their bases. Typically, they were escorted byJem'Hadar fighters in battle making their combined use an effective tactic against their enemies.
They measured at 639 meters in length and were registered as class 3 vessels. (DS9video game:Dominion Wars)
