Born in thecity ofMinsk onEarth in2337, Kalandra entered theStarfleet Medical Academy in the early2360s, and finally graduated in the 89th percentile in2365. Following hergraduation she was assigned to theinfirmary onStar Station India.
In2367, Kalandra was madeassistant chief medical officer of the station. She remained on Star Station India for a further three years, before accepting an assignment aschief medical officer at theDecker Memorial Hospital onAjilon Prime in2370. (STvideo game:Starship Creator)
During a brief period of warfare between theFederation and theKlingon Empire in2373, theKlingons launched an invasion of Ajilon which led Kalandra and her staff to set up a fieldhospital to treat those who had been wounded in the attack. Thankfully, adistress call from the hospital was received by Dr.Julian Bashir andJake Sisko who helped to treat the wounded and gave her chance to evacuate the patients when theKlingons advanced.
Luckily the attack was brought to an end when the cease-fire between the Federation and the Klingons were re-established following the arrival of theUSSDefiant. Shortly after, Kalandra left Ajilon to accept an assignment aboard theUSSTecumseh, where her husband,Ishmael Kalandra, served asscience officer.
