Description[]

Tracing a distorted signal leads to first contact with an unusual species in need of assistance. When it becomes apparent that it is not just this individual, but the entire species that is in danger, a desperate rescue mission and a race against time is needed to save them from extinction.

A routine mission studying gaseous phenomena is placed on hold when a strange alien signal is detected. Tracing that signal leads to an unknown vessel adrift in deep space. Scans detect no life-signs on board, but other readings are inconsistent. The mysterious vessel is clearly not what it seems and is ultimately revealed to be hiding a bigger mystery.

After investigating the vessel and making first contact with an unusual alien in need of assistance, a larger problem becomes apparent that may be threatening their entire species. The crew must undertake a dangerous journey to a hidden world in order to stave off disaster. But when Orion pirates attempt to scavenge vital technology, it becomes a race against time to prevent the total extinction of the species.
