Summary[]
A former Cardassian gul, Engor, is visiting the station. Kira is uneasy in meeting him, as he was on Bajor during the Occupation. Engor was also known for planning an attack on Starfleet at Zaldon IV, but Sisko is determined to leave that in the past.
However, when Engor arrives in Ops, he is shot with a phaser, and Odo identifies a Bajoran woman as the suspect. Chief O'Brien is shocked to see that it is Ro Laren. Ro escapes Ops and Sisko orders Odo to track her down. Kira assists them and they track Ro to the old ore processing center where Kira is shot. O'Brien realizes that only he can bring Ro in, and he soon finds and confronts her.
